    Hey! This is Living Therapy!
    Anyone hear of Karma?
I'm sorry if I get personal but some people at Zendik Farm ripped my heart out threw it on the ground and danced on it, on a daily basis. Zendik Farm is internationally known and has been doing this for years and will continue it's about time the truth came out. Zendiks talk like they are above us anyway, you know, evolved....
To be honest with you this is the best thing that could happen to them, we see "Stuff" that they refuse or can't see and have been honest about it. Can you imagine if they took it all to heart??! If my friends walked up to me with valid concerns about my actions which may not be flatering I'd have a great chance to change, right?
One of my bosses said there was no place for complainers at work. I said he was wacked. If there is a problem and people complain there is a chance to change things for the better, or we can just shut up and let things degrade....
I may have said personal things but the Zendiks have the opportunity to say something but so far have not. It's their time to be exposed. Why? Who knows. Maybe for a bunch of Real Zendiks to get an Eco-Village going........

I'm just starting a series of photographs about intentional communities. Not a documentary -- more a fine art series of portraits (group and individual). Looking for folks interested in participating. Please contact with any info.

    Thanks guys! Cheers!

I'm not threatening anybody, and not particularily angry, just not taking anyones shit. Why should I? What I did was approach someone directly, and honestly let them know what I thought of their actions on this board. I'm sorry if you can't handle directness, but that's the way I do things. I find it much more useful than debates or gossip.
Just for the record, I have no devotion to Zendik Farm nor was I ever kicked out. I also have nothing against an honest debate, though I usually find them pretty boring. We all know the truth anyways...

Yes there we do indeed agree.

People can discuss “what happened” without talking about “who” did what to “whom”. For instance, one could say I know this guy/girl who was at the farm and this is what I saw happen to him/her. You can tell the story without identifying the people involved. I think that may indeed be very important. If a person had a traumatic experience the farm they may not want such information discussed in public. If we all agree to keep names out of it we can protect those people. Just stick to what, where, when, what happened and leave out the “who”.

    A challenge to the zendiks.

Most of you guys have been unfortunately silent during this discussion. Thus many “potential zendiks” only hear one side of the story. The few that have posted here either just made a general denial then left or (as you saw above) attacked one of their critics. There are at least 2 people who were interested in going to the farm but, decided not to after reading this forum(including my self). That is just the people that we know of, I am sure there is more. I would like to encourage you to talk about your beliefs and answer the charges made here. So long as you do not attack or threaten other members here, I will step up to the plate and stick up for you if anyone attacks or threatens you. I truly would like to hear your side of the story.

Your post sounded threatening, but I took the term "split you open" literally, as in split your head open. Your post seemed angry to me, but that is a problem with this form of communication, you're isolated from a person's presence, can't see their face, so you can misunderstand their words very easily.

And as for the gossip: I can totally see your point.

Whew! I just stumbled upon and read this entire thread. Thanks and props to those who shared their experiences. I just have one question:
How do they decide what your zendik name is?) Seriously, for some reason I find that interesting. I noticed most seem to be 4 letters. And since this thread just wants to keep going and going like the energizer bunny it is, I hope to lighten the mood a bit.
    Peace.

Slander and libel are legal terms for false, defaming statements. Slander is verbal and libel is published. Note that a statement has to be false in order to be defined as slander or libel. What jonp revealed (however tactlessly) about Nez was common knowledge among those who lived at Zendik Farm at the time-- because Arol called a special meeting in which Nez was forced to confess his actions to the entire group. That he was subjected to group humiliation as punishment is much more interesting than what he actually did. Nez's "crime", in Zendik eyes, was that of privacy.

Not just tactless, but inaccurate & taken out of context. Like I said, gossip. There was no "common knowledge" on or off ZF about what went down with me there, and to my knowledge their still isn't. You only know what you've heard, and I can assure you that caboc (jonp) knows and/or remembers even less about it than you. If privacy was my "crime", then I was a fucking mafia don. I wasn't alone with that, though. Believe me, you don't, and never will, know even a small fraction of what went on there. Mwahahahaha!
All that matters now is what I accomplished at ZF-which is a hell of a lot more than most who were there for any amount of time-and what I do as an artist now. Enough idiocy already.

How most information gets processed by people and computers:

People pick their own Zendik names, at least most of the time, but it's a sort of application process. First the individual must be a "committed" Zendik intent on staying (at least until they get kicked out, which is almost inevitable sooner or later) to get a Zendik name (until then, they use your given deathkulture name like Bill, Ed, Johnny, etc., perhaps to set you apart as one of the unwashed). Then the individual comes up with a name and essentially asks for permission to use it. The name has to be a Zendik type name, short and not too hippyish or new age.

For example, I knew a guy who wanted to call himself Sequoia, but that name was nixed by the Arol administration because it sounded too new agey. So he tried other names until one stuck. The female names tend to end with "a" like Nika, Zara, Onya, etc, but not always, ie., Lore, Brin, Fawn. Male Names tend to be very short & tough sounding, ie., Chen, Revel, Nez, Breeze, etc.

I've also heard that when Wulf was alive, he would suggest or pick names for certain people.

The Zendiks have "Zendik way" kind of thing going where your identity has to conform to their aesthetic.

My reaction to the Monica Lewinsky scandal was not “is the president lying? why won’t he admit that he messed around with that woman?” but rather “I don’t even care if he’s lying or not...can we please, for Christ’s sake, start talking about something more constructive than whether or not the president got a blowjob from Monica?!” And this is basically my reaction to gossip about individual Zendiks on this messageboard...

I would agree with Nez that there seemed to be some heavy-duty information control at the Farm, lots of stuff that the little people outside the “Core” didn’t know, or knew only in bits and pieces. We were discussing the question of “Where does the Zendiks’ money go?” on this board awhile ago, and that would be a case in point: I can report (as one of the little people) what I saw and didn’t see (and so I didn’t see Wulf or Arol driving around in a limousine, a la Jim and Tammy Faye Bakker, while the rest of us lived like refugees)...but since I wasn’t one of the trusted insiders, I really never learned the ins and outs of the Zendiks’ finances. And if I ever asked about it (which I didn’t), I’d probably be told to mind my own business. To take another example, for a good portion of the time I was at the Farm, I heard through the grapevine that we might be moving soon (from Texas to Florida), and I did ask about this...and was told essentially the same thing: “none of your business...we, the Core, are making our minds up about this, and we’ll tell you when we’ve decided.”

The crucial feature of Zendik names was that they were original, not names that people would ever give their kids in the Deathkultur...so you wouldn’t change your name to some other real name you liked (say, switch from Bill to Sergio), you’d make up a name out of thin air and see if others liked it (or thought it was not too silly).

Uh... Nez, you've kept your Zendik name, your company's name is comprised of Zendik neologisms ("EleMental Muzik"), and you've got a frickin' drawing of Wulf on your album cover:

    http://www.elementalmuzik.cjb.net/

    That seems pretty.. well.. dedicated.

My brother and I used to have these big arguments over whether or not Kira Roessler was female. He just couldn't believe that a woman could be in a punk band.

Cripes, how many bassists did they have?

Chuck would have made a fine Zendik name, provided that I could have thrown a Z and/or an unmodified K in there. "Czhuk"

Siah dropping by again to see how things are coming along...

I live at Zendik, have for almost 14 years...

I gave my personal answer to some of the more upsetting stuff back on pg 26 and for a few pages afterward..

I found myself to be quite persuasive :) :p

please read that part of the conversation if you haven't

Dalamar, I read your point about people from Zendik coming by to answer "charges", and that is sort of why it isn't very fun to do so... the tone of this thread is largely negative and accusative, and the few questions are jumped on by people who are pretty obviously committed to portraying Zendik negatively... even your "challange" has this bizarre condition that I'm not allowed to threaten anyone here if I'm to participate... Have people who live at Zendik been threatening people????

But if there is a particular question you want answered, lemme know...

Just remember, I'm a person--and it isn't so fun to answer questions in the form of accusation, I imagine most people would tire of it quickly...

I bet most would eventually shrug and go, "Fuggem' let them say and think what they like... I know who I am and what I'm about."

    Siah,

I've been quietly following this thread. I genuinely hope you are right and are experiencing a happy life at Zendik Farm! However, I think it's your duty to defend your home... When so many people say bad things about ZF and no one defends it, it makes things look as though they are in their favor.

BTW, NO ONE is allowed to threaten anyone. No one is allowed to threaten you, nor are you allowed to threaten them. (I'll report it to cops in a heartbeat if I sense it's serious on either end.) That's not an unreasonable condition.

Just tell the truth. It will set you free. I'm on your side if you're willing to be honest!
