The Obama administration is withholding 2100 photos of torture scenes, carried out by US troops. A federal judge is to rule on the matter after December 12, 2014. Torture of war prisoners is a war crime; and, torture of civilians is a crime against humanity. International courts should rule on the matter and order America to turn over any Americans who ordered or carried out torture. If America refuses to comply with International Law, then sanctions should been forced against it, and all international trade suspended. Any cowardly US troops who participated in torture of prisoners, children, or civilians should be lined up and shot in the place where they carried out the crime.

Right. The countries not guilty of war crimes and complicity, why just line up and point a finger? How vainly naive.
At least i can tell a big scam when i see one. Like obola.

Define Torture= Listening to right wingers opinions as they extol the virtues of the HAVES, while denigrating citizens that can't seem to be as successful as they are.

If any parties are found guilty of war crimes, it needs to be determined who OKed and ordered them to be carried out. Start at the top and work down.

My point has always been--remove money completely from elections on all levels. We citizens supposedly own C-Span, which could carry national debates. Local debates could be shown on local TV stations WHETHER THEY LIKE IT OR NOT. As soon as money was/is the determining factor, the opinions of citizens don't matter so much. With our education system failing to teach critical thinking (well thought out plan), the media owned by 6 corporations and the "Supreme" court packed with judges who , in the main, further the republican agenda---not a level playing field at all.

So the answer to your question doesn't matter.

Oh the Supreme court packed...because Traditionalists have an edge over liberals. If it was the other way around would you be complaining that the court was packed with liberal judges.

Awww c'mon man. Our basic political stances are different. I don't think that makes me a hypocrite, now does it?

Simply put--after having been around for 75 years and being reasonably aware ---the middle class does much better under the left than the right. Always has.

And that is why I would rather the left control the government.

I don't have to define it. It has been defined by the most important government in the world, the UN. And by the way, these 2100 pictures are from Abu Ghraib, fore-told by Rumsfeld, and show things far worse than what we saw in the first set of pictures. So it is torture. And the US military does not want us to see it. I think we should just start sending US troops over to Iraq to face a war crimes tribunal. After that, the Iraqis should just hang them like America did to the Nazi Germans.

The war crimes are within the amalgam ways that facilitate the continual quest for the world wide resources. Spying, assassinations and other nefarious deeds are commonplace. We just do it better than others. They've picked them up pretty fast though. We're not the only ones that torture--but we're the only ones that have a constitution and a set of written and

unwritten rules that (should) dictate that our behavior is civilized, regardless of what others do.

Is the middle class doing so great right now with the left in control...nope.

The hypocrite part comes in when you want the Supreme court one way and complain about it the other way. I accept the court for what it is and what it can be. I may not agree with decisions they make now and if they were liberal but I understand it is what it is.

The UN is a joke and America should have left it years ago. It is not a government and once again I say it is a joke.

The 1st set of pictures released I never saw torture, I saw a bunch of idiots doing things you would see college kids do during hazing of a college frat. If torture happened then lets prosecute those who did it. Hanging is not the punishment.

The first set of Abu Ghraib pictures showed some real torture, including but not limited to death of a prisoner. The victims of the torture have testified and described it as torture. Former secretary of defense Donald Rumsfeld described it as "Horrific Torture." The hanging of war criminals is very appropriate in this case. It is exactly what America did in Germany, to the German war criminals. By the way, four Blackwater thugs got convicted of killing Iraqis yesterday. They got convicted by a Washington DC jury. They are going to spend the rest of their lives in prison. A rope or a rifle squad is very appropriate for American war criminals.

I have not seen those pictures then nor have I heard anything about them.

No war criminal should be put to death.

If you think that the UN is a joke then why did America sign on with the UN as a world governmental body? Why did the United States Senate ratify the UN Treaty, explicitly indicating that America would obey all International Laws? Why did America's president sign the United Nations Treaty on behalf of all Americans? Are Americans liars, as well as torturers and oil thieves?

The basic idea of the UN is excellent. Unfortunately humans with counterproductive purposes can foul it up.
