Had Ms. Lewinsky's actions smeared a Republican president, you guys would be ready to enshrine her in bronze on The Mall

Social prison? When did that happen? Must have been somewhere between her book royalties, $500,000 television appearance fees, reality TV shows, selling her own designer handbags, flaunting her wealth around her Manhattan, Beverly Hills, and London homes, HBO specials, as a correspondent for British television, and getting her degree from the London School of Economics. Her Barbara Walters interview alone netted her over $1 million. Boo hoo, poor Monica.

I agree it's time to forget her. She's no longer relevant, but she's no victim. She was young but she wasn't a kid, and she had a history of chasing married men....prior to Bill she carried on a five year affair with a married teacher.

The truth of the matter is that she shouldn't be demonized for blowing Bill, she should be demonized because her actions led to a national scandal and the impeachment of a President. That's no small deal. She knew exactly what she was doing. Saving the dress with Bill's spunk is proof enough she knew there were serious implications. The dress was her insurance policy and she used it to protect herself. Otherwise we'd never know it existed.

Bill's behavior shouldn't have been a surprise to anybody. I lived in Arkansas when he was governor - the only reason anybody knew who he was was because of the steady stream of rape and sexual assault allegations that were forever filling the pages of the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette. He was a serial womanizer and according to over a dozen women, a rapist.

I don't care about her one way or the other, but her income and lifestyle are no secret. The only reason she went public crying poor mouth was to maintain her relevance to keep money flowing in because truth be told, she's never had trouble finding work and has never been poor.

Something to consider here is that Monica was playing ball. She did try to get closer to Bill after he was through with her, but she backed off when she was offered a cushy job far from the White House and Billy Bob's Knob. The whole thing went wrong when she confided in her friend, Lynda Tripp who recorded all of her phone calls illegally.

That's when it turned into a circus. In the end all it did was make some lawyers wealthy on taxpayer money while distracting Americans from the fact nobody was doing anything about radical Islam and the fact the economy was getting worse.

Monica is learning America's most obvious message, "You are NEVER forgiven". Just ask anyone with a felony record. "Paying your debt to society and returning to normal life" is a LIE.

It just amazes me how much people care. She should be left alone by now.

It's hard to not get you started on the misogynistic aspect of this, because it's basically at the core of the issue. I dunno how to rebuild someone's reputation, but people should forgive her.
