Ah...gotcha. I guess I was kind of talking about guitar and vocals but the vocals are probably tougher to nail than the guitar. You really need to commit to the vocals and lay it out there. I can play it in either tuning but the open G tuning is fairly amusing. The kicker is that I mean to start off playing one thing in a tuning like that and then get sidetracked messing around with all sorts of other ideas that pop up and don't get around to the thing I meant to practice. :)

Learned how to play this a while ago, but just played it the other day.

Amazing song imo. Didn't realize how great it was until it suddenly flew from my fingertips.

Great song!! I learned it once upon a time and you just reminded me of it. I think I'm going to have to revisit this one.

Well I am a singer, so I am currently learning Epica's song "Veniality". I sing symphonic power metal. I think I will learn Amberian Dawn's "River Of Tuoni" next!

I did not know that was a David Bowie song until just now. I'm used to the unplugged rendition Nirvana played. I really like the vocal harmonies in this (original) version of the song. Very nice!

I'm still trying to learn all the voices and styles on my keyboard so I can easily access them.
It really helps when I jam with recorded music as I can quickly alter voices and effects, often matching the recording.

I'm also training my ear to recognize the key and match the notes in realtime if possible.
And as I get better at it, it gets more fun!

But I'm not into reading music these days (haven't in many decades)...never was real good at it.
Don't have a guitar anymore, as that is what I used to play actual songs.
