I did not lose the account though as it was transferred in the move I just had to sign in and all was still there other than a new start date. The old account (old posts) still exists and are still archived in the old forum. This time is a little different as you say as the posts themselves etc appear to be being transferred. I would imagine that the integrity of the move will be fine but as you stated we will see when it is all done.

 

^are you sure? i think everyone else had to re-register. i know i did, and i assumed that's why most people created new usernames at the time.

Yes, you are correct. Also, you can only find the pre-May 2004 posts via the archives (which are archives of the previous website). If our old accounts were transferred over, we would be able to view posts from pre-May 2004 on the current forums server. But we cannot.

 

Sorry, you are right. The old data is still there but we all started with fresh accounts. That does not appear to be what this move is about though so as you said it will probably be different this time.

 

I enjoyed that it was like tales from long long ago when hip forums was young and so were we
