Are women finally speaking out against misandry?

This link restores some of my faith in humanity. Maybe there is actually a chance that some of us out there are not falling into the divide-and-conquer scheme of feminism to turn men and women against each other. Are the masses realizing that it is just a bait-and-switch tactic that promotes "unity and equality" only at face value? The societal impacts of modern feminism, in my eyes, indoctrinate women into believing they cannot ever be successful in a world ruled by rich white men, and vilifying men for having natural sex drives and desiring certain traits in a partner.

I honestly think that biggest problem as far as angry third or fourth-wave feminists, oppression of women, misandry, misogyny, these "men's rights" movements that are fronts for angry PUA-rejects, etc. etc. is a prudish, backwards-ass, and politically-tinged view of sexuality.

I think a real push for sex-positive thinking would be the best way to alleviate all these haters.

"Stand up for your rights." as meaning the right to be afraid of Nature like they aren't in Russia. To be proud of your church membership for nothing other than one's ignorance on the matters of faith. To be treated equally when you go to the hospital with socislazed medicine or not.

Have I got the right idea for you's?

I think some of the women on that blog sound idiotic.
People who are against feminism ( not how it is defined by some misogynist men's rights movement, but feminism that calls for equality for all)) aren't taking into account the amount of abuse and oppression women still experience world wide. Just because the woman next to you has equal rights doesn't mean all women do.

When wide scale oppression and abuse stops then ill give credence to these anti feminist idiots and their men's rights counterpart. Until then, I think they're thinking and speaking with blinders on.

I'm actually a feminist by the textbook definition. But I don't carry that label because of the movement's more recent actions.

Nowadays western feminist activist groups aren't really seen expressing much outrage over middle eastern oppression of women by stoning them to death for driving. Or young women getting acid thrown in their face for trying to go to school. Instead they're more interested in banning the word "bossy."

There's certainly lots suffering in the world, experienced by both males and females. A social movement genuinely against suffering, with sufficient humility to acknowledge when they screw up and their own limitations, and that actively seeks out criticism and tries to reform itself would be welcome. That ain't feminism.

I don't believe that feminism is about "equality for all" any more than I believe that bush invaded iraq to "bring the iraqis freedom". Feminism pays lip service to certain ideals to cover the fact that it's a hate group. I've already discussed the fact that feminism is implicitly and inherently a supremacist social movement.

Feminism is trying to increase the power and wealth of certain groups of women at the expense of women overall, and to attack men. They are trying to shove their hate agenda down the throats of women (and men) with blithe platitudes like "you just don't get it/ you'll thank us later", which is horseshit.

Good for these women for speaking out. A just social movement wouldn't be trying to cram it's agenda down anyone's throat and would embrace criticism. It wouldn't be trying to marginalize its critics.

You'd be wise not to call anyone an idiot. You're the one with the blinders on.

I dont really have a clue what people are talking about when they call feminism a hate group. I really don't.

But I feel like people like you are using your experience with a small minority of people who call themselves feminists to discredit an entire group of both men and women who have worked tirelessly for decades to improve the lives of millions of women across the world.

Feminism is a concept and it works by making small generational changes which, with time, changes the mindset of entire cultures.

It isn't some small radical "feminazi" group serving their own agenda. At least I dont think of it that way.

Well in that case, present-day feminists can perhaps view this blog as a successful milestone in western society as more women voice their opinions on why feminism is no longer needed.

    Mission accomplished

Yeah, I read something along those lines in regard to this blog the other day. A woman who does a lot of humanitarian work in the middle east for women in particular was quoted as saying something along the lines of, its great these women don't need feminism, it means feminism has achieved its goal within their culture

Yes, quite a few women are starting to take a stand against feminism thanks to the work of Karen Straughan and others. Heartening, as you said.

the job of feminism is sooo not over yet. not until rape is no longer such an issue, women have contraceptive rights, rights to abortions, equal pay, and let us be topless like men!

Accidentally clicked on this thread but I have a few thoughts to share so why not.

I know a few hardcore feminist/lesbians that have removed themselves from the popular feminist movement and don't want to be called feminists anymore. They still work towards the empowerment and education of women but have detached from the movement because it has actually become a bad thing. A few are even realizing that they're only mad at men because they've been brainwashed by society to have false expectations of them!

I don't have a TV and haven't for years but even when I had a TV, the way most shows and commercials attempted to brainwash everyone and especially to emasculate men was disgusting. Every few years I get a hotel room and it's progressively become worse. It's so rare to see a positive portrayal of a man on television these days, I lean towards conspiracy thoughts. lol

I think there's light at the end of the tunnel though. People are starting to realize that consumerism and competition isn't the way to happiness. For the debt slave agenda to work, those in power needed to break up the family and double the workforce. They have accomplished this through propaganda. It's sad to see the resulting gender role confusion that's resulted but we've played right into their hands.

At the core of it all is the fact that it's become "politically incorrect" to even broach certain topics. For instance, I think that we're way too civilized and have strayed way too far into a destructive lifestyle that tries to provide happiness through consumption rather than through fulfilling instinctive needs. I'd guess that a large percentage of men are happy humping, fighting, hunting, and building, and a large percentage of women are happy humping, being moms, tending gardens, and being supportive of their friends and families.

The way our society is set up, and the agenda that feminists are pushing sends mixed signals to us. It tells us that we'll be happy if we go to college, wait to have kids until we have good jobs, put the kids in school/daycare, and work our asses off until we're 65, when in reality, we might be much more happy if our parents gave us a few acres when we came of age, and we just grew food, had babies, and partied.....anyway....what do I know...

I've seen this destruction of gender roles up close as it has been a source of grief in my relationships. Every woman that I've dated or married, that a friend has dated of married, or that I've had the misfortune of hearing about has been on this wild goose chase mission to be a "professional" "equal" woman, and be a happy, feminine, home maker at the same time. These are generally mutually exclusive tasks. The school/daycare system is no replacement for loving parents and a supportive community and success at the office fulfills a woman's instinctive maternal drive about as well as a mint cures hunger.

In my experience, western women want to run the show, wear the pants, pay the bills, answer/monitor the phones, be bossy, illogical tyrants, which always gets blamed on PMS regardless of the time of month......and still get brought flowers, get treated like princesses, and have a pile of happy kids at a beautiful, well taken care of home. They want an ambitious, hard working, well off, strong, adventurous, tough "bad boy" type of man that doesn't put up with anyone else's shit....but theirs, but they also want him to be romantic, gentle, reliable, creative, psychic, a great cook, an excellent dancer, clean, pretty smelling, always available for tasks, and a total pushover.... It's sad to constantly disappoint. lol

I may sound biased or bitter but I'm over all of that now that I know that the brainwashing of an unsustainable society is largely at fault. I'm just pointing out observations I've made and don't judge anyone for not agreeing. Pretty sure I'm onto something though because in the very few relationships I've seen where the woman is staying home having kids and the man is home working on the farm, everyone's happy as can be..

I want anyone to have the opportunity to do whatever they want to do as long as it doesn't hurt others or the environment. Aside from the argument that anyone participating in westernized consumer culture, the thing from which feminism sprang, is hurting others and the environment simply through their involvement, the current feminist movement pushes intolerance, competition, emasculation, and probably overall has a negative impact on our society.

Another funny thought I had a while back, when I was dating the lesbian feminazi, was the Know Peace, Know Pussy, and/or No Peace, No Pussy movement. The idea was to start a movement to teach girls/women how to identify the traits of an egomaniacal psychopath so they can avoid breeding with or raising them. If this knowledge was spread, women could drastically change the world for the better in a few generations! That's empowerment!

The current system actually fixes the game in the direction of making it easier for psychos/socios to breed, which is why we have the greed and violence problem we have now. This movement would teach women about their genetic propensity to be attracted to "bad boys", and why this evolutionarily adapted trait is no longer necessary, and is in fact, destructive in a modern society.

Anyway, I'm glad that people are at least discussing this stuff. It gives me a bit of hope that I'll someday find a mate/s with realistic goals and expectations. Until then, I guess I'll just keep dreaming of joining a primitive tribe in the jungle somewhere and staring a family then.

Feminism doesn't stop rapists from raping. Rape is a serious crime that shouldn't be taken lightly, and the victims needn't feel ashamed. Reforming the prison system would be a great way to reduce it though.

Sorry, but I don't want my taxes to pay for your pregnancy screw-ups. Nor do I think having a vagina entitles you to free stuff.

This has been debunked to death. Men usually work more hours and typically work more dangerous jobs and seek higher paying careers. Women are more likely to take extra time off to raise a family, meanwhile the male counterpart remains at work accumulating more experience and revenue.

Feminist: we should be allowed to go topless like men
Me: hey I totally agree. You should be free to show your goods off to the world
Feminist: OMG don't sexualize my body, you pig!

    I have to interject here.

Prescription insurance companies cover 100% of a good bit of common drugs, and they should. People pay quite a bit of money every year for this purpose.

This is inherently a healthcare issue, not a feminist issue but it does become a feminist issue when insurance companies cover a wide range of maintenance and preventative drugs, including Viagra, but refuse to cover contraceptive care.

I also don't care much for your choice of wording with "pregnancy screw up." the purpose of birth control, as you should know, is to prevent a pregnancy screw up and therefore saves the healthcare industry a good bit of money. Medicaid and commercial insurance pays out the ass for deliveries and hospital stays, not to mention ob gyn care during pregnancy.

The fact that this has become such a big issue even though it saves money in the long run to provide preventative contraceptive care and the fact that no one seems to give a shit that Viagra is covered is what makes the whole thing seem a bit sexist.

Truthfully I'm not a big fan of subsidized medicine, but I'm open to some exceptions. You're right, I take back my pregnancy screw-up statement. Sometimes contraceptives don't work and rape victims get pregnant. I didn't know that Viagra is covered by insurance, that's retarded.

Exactly. That's why I don't watch much tv these days. It's amazing how much it propagates people to believe and behave a certain way. The Simpsons (as much as I love watching the Simpsons) is an example of a show that depicts all the males of the entire town as dumb, spacey, or clumsy.

Even though i only quoted this paragraph, I agree very much with your lengthy post

i didn't say impossible, but it's so callous to assume women who need contraception or abortions are just sluts who deserve it.
