I 'ma 29 year old male I have what I been told are prostrate issues (inflammed). I have been to a few urologists aswell as a couple Regular doctors to solve my very frequent urination problems. I determined on my own the that they are linked to masturbation which I can usually go 2-3 days with out doing and the problems subside greatly and if i go five days they are gone until a masturbate again and they are right back. The urologists have found no enlargement of the prostrate or any infection or anything else wrong they say all is healthy. So I've determined I need to quit masturbating / all sexual activity FOR GOOD!! The only question is how the hell do I do this? I still have the urge to masturbate (which is sometimes painful on ejeculation). Is There to kick all sex for good as my body does not seem to like it?

    thanks

    John

I have been to 3 urologists they all have the same opinion everything is fine all systems go use it not enlarged not inflammed no infection. Also masturbation now makes me depressed afterwards instead of happy which I don't like either and want quit for good. basically become an asexul, I feel my life would be much better that way.

As if masturbation didn't already provide enough of a payoff, a recent Australian study found that DIY sex may also help prevent prostate cancer. The study of 2,338 men showed that the guys who masturbated five or more times a week were 34 percent less likely to develop prostate cancer by age 70 than those who handled matters less often.

"Seminal fluid contains substances that are carcinogenic," says Graham Giles, Ph.D., the lead study author. "Regular ejaculation may help flush them out."

And in case you're wondering, no, masturbating more than once a day won't offer more protection, and yes, straight-up sex works, too. But before you have unprotected nookie with your partner, be sure she's been tested for cytomegalo-virus, a type of herpes recently found in cancerous prostate tissue.

You determined on your own that your masturbating was causing the problems?

Seems like you need to man up and ask the doctor/s if this could be causing your prostate issues. I'm sure they've seen weirder things and have heard weirder theories. Let them know what's going on in your head.

Its tricky when you read something like that in the media, one quote that kind of is taken out of context, where he's probably suggesting one possibility, but to us seems like he is saying its the main possibility. And to us when we hear "carcinogenic" it means cancer-causing, but to him means one of a dozen different grades of a substance being responsible somewhere along the process of cells mutating

Then if he's asked for a quote for the media feels he has to dumb it down for those not as smart as him, even if that mag is New Scientist

Herpes has been linked to both Alzheimers, because of weakening of the brain stem, and Prostate cancer...but zinc has also been linked to both, zinc probably one of those substances he is talking about in seminal fluid

More likely he is really saying, in some cases if in the end your cells are going to be more susceptable to the effect of such and such substance at such and such point in the process and that substance is in your junk probably a good idea to unload regularly, but it still may not be the most important prevention, may be the 5th most important and in a lot of other cases it wont make a bit of difference cos in those instances its more about one of a hundred other different carcinogens that arent in your junk

an acupuncturist/chinese herbalist may be able to help you with this. it's often expensive though, so consider the benefits versus the costs

in chinese medical theory, it's best not to ejaculate at all from about november to february.

maybe when you do ejaculate, only do it during sex

    tai-chi/qi gong/yoga might help you

a diet of fresh, lightly cooked whole foods served warm might help

avoid sugar, alcohol, drugs, stress, and too much mental activity

avoiding masturbation may be difficult for you, but staying away from porn or any sexual images may help you
