One of the worlds finest blues guitarists died yesterday in Zurich, Switzerland on Wednesday, July 16, 2014. He was 70.

I saw him play live only once, at a small venue in Seattle. It was a spine tingling performance by one of the baddest ass mutha fuckin'
Bluesmen to ever grace the planet.

I saw both him and his brother, Edgar, at one of those all day concerts at Anaheim stadium in the late '70's.

    Awesome show :2thumbsup:

It was a little weird because before they came on they had to rig up these huge black tarps to shade the stage completely.
Albino's don't fair to well in direct, bright sunlight I guess.

Yep, toured till the last...I guess he quit singing and had been playing from a chair for the last years. I'm glad I got to see him while he was still singing.

I met him once. He was very odd and did not really speak much....tall, albino-ish..He may have been one of the original MIB, too.....

All joking, aside, yes, he was an awesome musician......we are losing so many....:(

OK, I may be confused. I think I met Edgar......are Johnny and Edgar brothers or something like that?

That was Edgar... but yes, Johnny and Edgar were brothers. I think Edgar was the most profoundly albino of the two.

Johnny Winter was cool. I saw him once back in the 70's playing with Edgar Winter's White Trash.
