The last national there was in 1988. My parents went to it. The reviews were mixed, but many thought it was a disaster. Lots of heavy F.S. law enforcement and an effort to ban the gathering that ended up in a big court victory for RF. But that was mostly a result of a gung ho Redneck Incident Commander named Billy Ball who surely retired long ago. It was a bad experience for the F.S. as well, so next time it could be different. Then again, with all the Tea Party gun nuts down there now, it could be worse!
