Crocheted Casket Blanket

    I went to a visitation at the funeral home yesterday and the old woman had crocheted her own casket blanket to have placed on the lid instead of a floral blanket.

    It was pretty and something I'd never seen done.


    It was made like this.

    Interesting.
    In my tradition, flowers are for the living, not the dead, but this could carryover.

    I wonder where the blanket will end up. With a relative? Buried?

    I don't know. Maybe her widower kept it.
