The outside temp when I was driving home at 12:45am (little while ago) was 43 deg.

It went from being in the 70s and 60s to this in the past couple of days/nights.

At 1300 feet... Front face of a ridge. I get all the weird weather.

 

I was thinking about this recently, but I think that we would end up just giving more votes to the cons, since they have more money to blow on ads and are more likely to be able to get their message out to the undecided people.

not too many higher spots just a few hills that people who never seen mountains call mountains

short drive to watershed points ...where i am everything goes east and south to huron but not far away it changes to north shed and goes to hudson bay

makes for clean lakes when youre near the source

 

I don't know how high this area is, but it is above sea level at least 1,000 feet I think, and the Catskill Mountains are in view from here.....looking at them always lifts me higher....
I used to want to be a mountain climber, but never did, and am happy I did not....as life is dangerous enough.....

but always the climber here...I was just remembering beating all the boys at school scurrying up those long ropes to the ceiling in gym class......and spent much of my life climbing trees......

 

Oh, yeah, and then there was that water tower I climbed and got in trouble with the police that day....
My friend, who I grew up with egged me on for that one....DUMB!
He and I were always in competition with grades and physical abilities to climb, etc......

 

Wow, it may get down to 30 degrees tonight, so I have to get the house plants in for the winter now, I suppose....in warm months, they are out, and in cold months, they hang in here.
I hate watering them inside....water always shoots out of the bottoms of the planters onto the floor....when they are outside, they are easier to deal with.
2 are spider plants and they are pretty massive.....

rf-I bought a ball flinger made by nerf for the dog today....I can now fling the ball all the way across the yard instead of just my girly throw

 

I finaly feel like i caught up on my sleep. Feel quite good today.
Lack of sleep, can actualy make you feel quite ill..

starting a fire this morning.....just cleaned the wood stove out.......out to check where the hunters have setup just past my property

I've had to start a fire in the woodstove every evening for the last week or so... Haven't fired up the wood furnace yet though.

 

its clean from last year......I emptied the trap at the bottom of the stack

rf-today there was some very cool clouds happening here on the island

 

The wood furnace had a bunch of buildup... I've cleaned the straight part but not the blackpipe inside yet. Some guys recommend cleaning twice a year, but that would depend on the stove and what gets burned, also on how it's operated. Keep the chimney hot and it won't buildup... You're also sending all your heat up the chimney and not into the house. It's a balancing act.

 

my inside pipe needs doing too...gonna email the landlord.....my woodstove needs relining also
