have been a fan of traffic and steve's vocal ability for years :2thumbsup: But I never knew he could play guitar like this WoW https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6DYC61HzmtM
sTEVE WAS COOL. My colleague flirted with him in the swinging 60s....she said he was a fantastic axe player
He and Gary Brooker of Procol Harum have a similar tone to their voices. Love ém both. PH was/is an all time favorite of mine as is that great song Winwood sang with the Spencer Davis group. What the hells the name of that song?
Yowzuh!!!! ( Like the music on the original radio version better, but he's the same!!) Funny watching those folks in the background just sitting there like they're frozen up.
First heard Steve in The Spencer Davis Group in 1963, then Traffic in '67, and also in Blind Faith in 1969. I've seen The Spencer Davis Group but after Winwood left. I have also seen Dave Mason, an original Traffic member, a few times and he still does Traffic songs. All three groups were great!
I reckon these two tracks are about a fish swimming downstream into the sea. http://youtu.be/Kj96wDDEt-M I reckon Take 5 is about a fish swimming upstream.
to me Meddicated Goo is the most irresistible song in the Traffic catalog. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JPxN6zcLtPQ
