    sTEVE WAS COOL. My colleague flirted with him in the swinging 60s....she said he was a fantastic axe player :)

    He and Gary Brooker of Procol Harum have a similar tone to their voices. Love ém both. PH was/is an all time favorite of mine as is that great song Winwood sang with the Spencer Davis group. What the hells the name of that song?

    First heard Steve in The Spencer Davis Group in 1963, then Traffic in '67, and also in Blind Faith in 1969.

    I've seen The Spencer Davis Group but after Winwood left.

    I have also seen Dave Mason, an original Traffic member, a few times and he still does Traffic songs.

    All three groups were great!
