I try to avoid news outlets. If they say something controversial, do I want to know about it? No. For me, television is for entertainment. If I don't like it I change the channel. I spend more time online anyway.
Media has changed. The internet has paid employees for social media now. You have to check . . Fact check everything yourself. Can't believe anything you read anymore. Fiction novels have more truth in them. Social media people who have a following are paid for by political parties, and hired on by newspapers... salaries partiall covered by the manipulating political party or organization ... who likes to publish lies. Retractions are never on the front page, always hidden. I think a paper and should be held accountable. When they lie and mislead people, it should Be mandatory that this be their top headline of front page news. If their headline reads trump lied... and that article was full of lies, that has to be their headline. we lied about whatever. Equal size font, just as prominent. same goes for social media. If you publish something, check for yourself. It use to be this way. Is not anymore. No time for fact checking... just lets sensationalize everything, Discrediting people at any cost, even their own integrity. :-(
Basically, the book banning society is a community of fascists and shitlibs who ban any book that threatens their fascist dogma.
What books specifically have been banned and by whom? What are your sources of information? How do you know they're fascists? How do you know they're a society or a community?
The Milo Fanomenon. The "world" calls him a pedophile for saying 15 year old boys should have sex with adult men. Of course since 99% of the world is made of simpletons and ignoramus, these people cannot bother to actually google what the word pedophile even means. So the fire him from his job and his publisher abandons his book deal and refuses to publish a book related to "pedophiles" (when they are so ignorant they don't even know what the word "pedophile" even means.) Milo then goes on to say that 15 year old boys having sex with adult men "saves them from suicide"... but I really think it's the reverse...If I was a 15 year old boy and I had sex with an adult male...first I would vomit, and then I would actually want to commit suicide.
i never read or listen news anymore is all fake to make money from innocent people. i don't see it i don't believe it.

All forms of media lie. It's a business after all. They're showing you what you want to see, not necessarily what is real. My example? I'm a (soon to be ex) travel photographer. Travel photography distorts perceptions of the world and the way it really is. In my experience at least. All that being said, if media is viewed through the correct lens (ie one person's/company's perspective on the world) then everything will be taken with a grain of salt (as it should be!).
I don't quite see the media as fake, I see it more as a politically driven distortion. It's just sensationalism to sell papers really...it just depends what kind of news you read which determines what kind of nonsense you are going to be exposed to.
I don't honestly watch the news all that much. Tend to get sensitive anytime there's a something saddening on the news. I'm not sheltered and I know what happens in the world, I just don't believe every little thing that I hear over social media. Sometimes people love to make a big deal over nothing on TV and they'll keep updating more on the story every few hours. I've always cared what happens in the world. Just don't let everything feed me whole.
It's good to realize that most blatant fake news and media manipulation comes from social media and opinionated blogs, not from mainstream news companies. Of course the latter puts spins on their articles as well, and it also differs per paper/channel/news program etc.
I knew when I was a teenager that I was being bombarded with a different set of values. Most news was discouraging. The more miserable they make people the more they try to cover their misery by consuming.
our country's media manipulation has hit an all-time high. the crap on our news outlets is drivel. nice way to put it.
I've stopped watching network news. It was too frustrating/depressing. They're so dishonest, so fake. They're still giving 90% of their airtime to Trump, though? They hate him now...I see... During the election cycle of 2016 they gave 90% of their coverage to him, too, to "laugh" at what a character he is, or to give us exclusive "The Life of Donald Trump" documentaries. Clinton got the other 9.99% and Bernie et al just kind of slipped through the cracks with the remainder. I wonder why Trump was such a major player in the last election when he was such a loser before. It's just a total mystery, isn't it.
I disagree somewhat. Do you remember the round-the-clock coverage he received in 2016? It was unbearable, and there was no justification given for it. They just made a big deal out of him for no particular reason that year. He ran for president before and was a complete loser. Discussing him is one thing; making an idol of him is quite another. And in 2016 they weren't even ridiculing him. They actually had biographical films of him on CNN. The reason it was fake was because they gave about ten minutes a week to Bernie, who was truly the biggest hit of 2016. Trump is right about one thing: CNN is fake news.
You are part of the problem if you use words like this. Don't fall for the division. CNN goes where the story is. Socialism is a fringe story.
