Smokers are Rude

oops, i accidentally liked samatha's post. it was meant to be a dislike

 

Let me relate to you folks about the nonsmoker and the smoker. I, the smoker was sitting at a slot machine. An older gentlemen and wife sat next to me. 5-10 minutes went by and lit one up. The guy gave a snooty look and sad to his wife let's go I don't like the smoke. I told the guy I would be more than happy to put it out. Few more minutes go by and all of a sudden I'm getting a lecture about the evils of smoking. I looked at him and reminded him I butted my smoke and I would greatly appreciate not getting a lecture. He kept it up I said to myself fuck this and lit up a cigarette. Now who was the asshole?

 

you were for lighting it up in the first place and stinking the place up.

 

Well, just like every smoker isn't rude like the one in my scenario, not every non-smoker is rude like in your scenario... I'm not sure about where you live but around here (I live in California), people are allowed to smoke in the casinos and it seems everyone is smoking there. I think that's kind of silly to complain about someone smoking in a casino because the few times I've been in a casino felt like I was incubating in a giant ash tray. Seriously, takes a while to get layers of smoke like that off of your skin and clothes and out of your nose. I think casinos are kind of fun but since it's full of smokers, I steer clear.

 

You find smokers in casinos because that's the last place we can go, smoke and have some fun.

 

ehh, if you wanna fight about it then I guess I could say a casino is a perfect place for people stupid enough to smoke to go since you'll find people stupid enough to gamble all their money away at casinos

 

It's our addictive personalities. Plus my casino budget is $100.

 

Amazingly enough, smokers always have been nice to me. They ask if they can smoke a cigarette when near me and then while they're smoking, they ask me "Are you still okay?". I don't know what it is about me or the situation, but I never had a rude smoker. Also, I like looking at the smoke and people smoking. It's actually calming.

I don't smoke, by the way.
