Don't feel limited to one song, artist, or genre :sunny: Just looking for suggestions! I've got a huge variety for different reasons.... Kansas was the first band I've listened to that really had a profound sense of spirituality to it...songs like "Apercu", "The Wall", and "The Pinnacle" really resonated with me when I was first moving away from the faith I had as a kid and started questioning things. Enya always brings me back to a sense of childhood...maybe because they always used to play it during naptime in pre-K lol The album "Two Hunters" by Wolves in the Throne Room is what really made me aware of nature for the first time. I normally don't care for black metal and only heard the album once, but it just gave me such a sublime sense of the raw power of the world, I couldn't shake it after. It might be cliche, but I can't listen to Beethoven's 9th Symphony without tearing up and experiencing a sense of oneness. It makes me feel like we all have something awesome inside just dying to wake up and that there is hope for humanity when it seems beyond hope. And Rachmaninoff's "Isle of the Dead" makes me feel just like I'm being ferried across the Styx by Charon. It's seriously amazing. But as far as genres go, I'm going to have to say a tossup between progressive rock and power metal. They both take me to a whole different level... :guitarist: How about you??? Thanks!!!

Yeah,I'm a bit dubious about the Christ references, but I still love this song and the whole album is beautiful.I'm a bit dubious about some of the religious references, but he was going through a very quasi religious phase at the time.I'm in two minds about religiosity. On a certain level I can get into it,and on an other level it irks me.I have split mind.I like bit of spirituality, but for me it's a very personal thing.

www.youtube.com/watch?v=dr0AnJ90zeE"]Black Sabbath - After Forever - YouTube Have you ever thought about your soul, can it be saved? Or perhaps you think that when you're dead, you just stay in your grave? Is God just a thought within your head or is he a part of you? Is Christ just a name that you read in a book when you were in school? When you think about death, do you lose your breath or do you keep your cool? Would you like to see the Pope on the end of a rope, do you think he's a fool? Well, I've seen the truth, yes, I've seen the light and I've changed my ways And I'll be prepared when you're lonely and scared at the end of our days Could it be you're afraid of what your friends might say if they knew you believed in God above? They should realize before they criticize that God is the only way to love Is your mind so small that you have to fall in with the pack wherever they run? Will you still sneer when death is near and say that you may as well worship the Sun? I think it is true; it was people like you that crucified Christ I think it is sad, the opinion you had was the only one voiced Will you be so sure when your day is near, say you don't believe? You had the chance but you turned it down, now you can't retrieve Perhaps you'll think before you say God is dead and gone Open your eyes, just realize that he's the one The only one who can save you now from all this sin and hate Or will you jeer at all you hear? Yes, I think it's too late

Now playing here! Hmm slightly less appealing but still like it. I think all the hand clapping takes away from the spiritual part for me.
