Pretty beautiful day here as well. I just walked Grace at the cemetery and several people were out planting flowers. I think I will be doing the same some day this week too. Thanks for all the lovely pictures and video.
I wish the cemetery my parents and brother are buried in allowed you to plant flowers, or have gravestones. It's so boring there with all the flat bronze plaques and fake flowers sticking out of them. I enjoy my little bit of planting at home. Right now, I've got some Red and some Yellow Gerber Daisies... Some Cosmos... and some Portulaca.
I planted some petunias today. They did not have lavender today so I have to go back to get that later in the week. There are a couple sections of the cemetery that just have the bronze plaques on the ground. One of them is military. There is also a Civil War section. The cemetery started in the 1800's so it has all kinds of monuments big and small.
I love cosmos. Just throw the seeds in the ground and they grow. So low maintenance and so airy and pretty. Portulaca is perfect when the searing sun comes out, they'll live through any drought. And it's almost lilac time. I love lilacs! How about a stroll through the lilacs A swim at the house Meditate while inhaling the heavenly scent Can't you just smell the heady aroma?
Those are gorgeous, Lucy! I had to rescue some 4 ft. lilies today which my daughters room mate broke into thirds and yanked up. I re-planted them in my yard and I have the 50 buds that were on top of them in a big vase. I don't know if they will bloom or not.
