Thank you so much, everyone.... :)

I was thinking of some of my pop art today. i need to climb to the attic and get the one out of two Valentine parfait glasses toasting each other and show a photo of that here, but in the time being, here is one that was in my photos on the computer....

pop art is alot of fun with bright happy colors....:)

I am psyched. Idid have a photo of the Valentine parfait glasses in my photos, which is good, as the attic is no easy task...it is only sitting up there, and to get anyhwere, you have to wiggle there, susally getting splinters in your *SS..... :D

Found another paingin, too, of sugar cookies and petit fours....as well.... :)

You're an awesome artist, Moonglow! Do you have a favorite painter that inspires you? Van Gogh inspires me a lot, plus Diane Arbus (photographer). Funny thing is I ended up becoming a poet - it's cheaper :-)

Hi, pacific! :)

Yes, van gogh is at the top of the list for me, too......

Degas for his movement....

Monet  for some of his peaceful colors...

manet for his vibrancy

O'keefe for her sunsuality in art

Picasso for his blue period

I like so many......but if I have to pick a very favorite, I have always felt somehow connected to Van Gogh somehow.....the most

Thank you for your kind words....... :)

I totally love the work of Picasso :-) For one thing, there was that huge really cool sculpture he did which was/is in downtown Chicago (not sure because I moved to another state in 1998). Also, The Art Institute had that famous painting he did of the old man playing his guitar. It was from his blue period. Anyway, if you looked at the painting really close, you could see that the old man's head was originally not at an angle - I guess Pablo had second (very wise) thoughts about it. Made me realize that even a genius can make a mistake and fix it before it's too late  :-)

Yes, the man with the guitar is pretty awesome, and I think my favorite painting of Picasso's is The Woman with the Crow....Do you know that one?

I was thinking...damn i forgot another up there favorite artist of mine is Matisse..he runs a close second to Van Gogh for me. Many of his things make me smile and feel happy.... :)

so Matisse...how could I have forgotten the first time....

I think my next male cat will be named Matisse....

Are you a full time professional artist?

Hello...to answer your question....I am full time at times...meaning I will paint every day...but other times I won't...Muses need to be here...and other times i need a break. I am not sure what professional means...i have sold many paintings...but I am not a business about it.....I paint because I love to and for myself and sell paintings when I need to...sort of thing....artists are not always that business minded.....

You are amazingly talented, Moonie!  :)

I LOVE all your paintings.

Van Gogh is probably my favorite (perhaps because I can relate to his troubled yet fantastic mind). The fact that he died before anyone truly appreciated him always got to me.  I'm also a Monet fan.  Of course, I'm not so crude as to not appreciate the talent of the artists you and Pacific mentioned (lol) but I have my 3 favorites. (The 3rd one below.)

Of course, when discussing genius, inspirational artists, I cannot leave out (imo) the best of the best - Michelangelo.

Years ago, was NOBODY ever truly recognized and appreciated? :-(

Its good that's no longer the case...your stuff is just wonderful and I had to let you know, Mooniegirl.

Moonlit Pine Boughs speaks to me especially...I feel I've seen that here at home, where I live.  :)

Gotta add (without editing - lol)...I love owls, also...some very odd personal experiences with them here in the Twilight Zone (my pet name for where I live)

So your brother's Owl is fantastic.

As is your eagle.

Birds are special, majestic creatures while also being possibly dangerous. :)
