I was making a joke. Actually my description is firm as can be and it accounts for every invocation, god is that which we invoke. Our invocation is what we cite as authority. It doesn't fly out of your fingers but emerges from internal vibration to voice.

On matter resulting in the matter or being one in the same. We do not create ourselves. We ourselves create as we are created. We inherit our position and expand upon it. Everything transpires through relationship.

To Mr. Writer: It's better to be kind than right in the sense that we value the person more than whether we agree or disagree with what they believe. Jesus also said that if your eye causes you to sin pluck it out. That would be similar to some of the zen koans you mentioned.

Regarding non-retaliation. This is mainly to be practiced in relations with people. There's no need to push it to extremes.

To thedope: I guess the purpose of retaliation would be for self protection. But the self that needs protection isn't the true self. So drop the false self and it automatically results in non-retaliation.
