you just did, and now i dont feel so bad for liking "take a chance on me" i never thought of it as cheesy but as catchy as dancing queen is it is a bit cheesy to me.

 

a co-worker was telling me to try seagrams 7 dark honey. being we like the same other harder liquors i know i can trust his opinion so i went to the store to get it. i looked up and down the isles but didnt see it so i went to the cashier who was a nice looking middle aged black lady. i said to her "my friend was telling me about a drink. ummm seagrams 7 dark honey." and she gave a look like she instantly went from listening to me to looking like she was daydreaming... i waited for about 5 seconds and when she still had the glazed look i said "from your look im guessing you dont have it?" she said no its right over here, she walked to the back of the store pointed it out and said she just had a blanked out moment. i went to work the next day told him that story how i spoke to the cashier and she just gave a look. he asked me if it was a black lady. i said yeah why. he said that she probly thought you were asking for a seagrams 7 and then called her a dark honey. ohhhhhh now it all makes sense.

34 years ago today my daughter was born....right smack in the middle of this

we were not evacuated...the line was the road I lived on so the people across the road were evacuated but my side of the street were supposedly safe......when my wife went into labor I tried to reach the hospital but was soon surrounded by popo and we were given a high speed popo escort to a second hospital out of the evac-zone..........

that hospital told us they too were evacuating and I had to drive my very pissed off wife to a third hospital where they were stretched very thin

when my kid popped out there was only me, the doc and one nurse....my wife hemorrhaged immediately so the nurse handed our baby to me and said
''she's perfect, dont drop her''

that's when I realized we now had a daughter


side note.....when we were given a room I walked in to see my wife in the left bed and my ex girlfriend from grade 7 in the right bed...weird coincidence

At the grocery store today I was in line behind a woman wearing a bicycle helmet.

All she had in her cart were 6 cans of string beans.
