I've been wanting Aloo Gobi since fundoo posted the cauliflower curry dish so I made some today. You know how when you're hankering for something and that craving is fulfilled? Was it ever good. And it was cooked just right (call me Lucylocks). Sometimes it's a bit mushy or still undercooked. It's hard to get it perfect. Traditionally it's just cauliflower and potatoes you use, but I like adding sweet potato too. Gives it a hint of sweetness. ready to steam and cooked
yeah "glass", never heard this term, but hear of the bean noodles. I actually wanted those, but couldn't find them, so settled on the rice noodles. I know, so easy to make, but they get inhaled so like I'd rather just have plain rice ready. but yes, they are tasty! awesome! you should make it! edit: ahhh!!! just saw your post now! awesome!
For Breakfast... :yikes: ...Good God, If I Ate That For Breakfast I'd Be Farting All Day....... Cheers Glen.
ok, ok, I was refraining from such comments on this thread, but...ah hell! just this once. lmao so for lunch or dinner it's ok?? oh, and I'm currently reading about Mayo making failures...or ?mayo failures?? :yikes: (ok, that was my laugh of the day! )
On Thursday I made Island Style Roasted Chicken with Thyme Mustard Sauce and Island Style Rice. Here is the Recipe for the Thyme Mustard Sauce: 3 Tablespoons Fresh Thyme 1/4 teaspoon White Pepper 1/4 cup Dijon Mustard 3/4 cup cream Heat in double boiler stirring regularly until desired temperature. On Tuesday I'm going to make Jambalaya for the first time. All of this Carribean style cooking is making me more interested in learning some French, Spanish, and African styles of cooking since that is the basis for the Carribean stuff. C/S, Rev J

haha I still have no likes, but all sounds good folks!! I'm losing cooking motivation today, I've already repeated a meal i've shared on here! haha yikes! Got beef cubes to do something with tomorrow, so...hmm I've got homework to do!!
Cooked in vegetable stock with onions, allspice, nutmeg (I think), red pepper and a couple of other things that I can't remember. I just took the recipe I had for red beans and rice and only made the rice and not the beans. C/S, Rev J
Tonight I did Frenched pepper steaks. Sauteed onions, oven roasted sliced potatoes, oven roasted cauliflower and a cheese bechamel sauce. It was good.
I just found the recipe: 2 cups stock 1 cup uncooked rice 1 small onion diced 1/2 teaspoon dried thyme 1/2 teaspoon ground cumin 1/2 teaspoon ground allspice 1/2 teaspoon black pepper 1/2 teaspoon salt C/S, Rev J
I didn't make jambalaya as planned but made soup from the breasts that were left over. In the stock I used the same spices I rubbed the chicken with. Allspice, nutmeg, cloves, cinnamon, pepper, and thyme. C/S, Rev J
If my girlfriend can get okra on her way home from work tonight will be jambalaya night. I went to 4 stores and struck out. C/S, Rev J
