This thread leaves me speechless at times I've been popping in and out lately and haven't posted much. I'm still visiting to look at the pics...I mean read the articles.
I thought your post was going in a totally different direction. I have to admit, seeing her create those fine meals....
I am not sure how large her audience is now but at one time it was huge. My son loves to cook and years ago during summer holidays he would watch her cook. We bought a couple of her cook books and a few of the recipes are favs now. I actually really like her view that was if you can cook a meal in 30 to 60 minutes why do crappy take out that takes that long to be delivered.
Tonight was a stuffed chicken breast roast with mashed taters, roasted beets, candied acorn squash and gravy,
Here we have Presidents choice which is Loblaws brand. I have tried others and they are not as good. The bonus is you cook it from frozen for 3 hours at 350f. Carve and serve. They are really good.
Aeri I know butterball also makes one that is turkey, so maybe you can get one of those there? I have had those and they are good also but I find the Presidents Choice one a little moister.
Inspired by Lucy and her pot roast as it looked good. I made this yesterday and will also have leftovers tonight as the kids are not home. I made yorkshire puddings for the gravy as then you get to eat more of it and it looks legit rather than piggish.
I had a late lunch of smoked meat sandwich with a sliced fermented pickle in the sandwich, with spicy mayo. I mix Bomba Calabrese hot antipasto spread with regular mayo for my spicy mayo. I'm still contemplating dinner. Maybe Santa Fe rice.
Nothing too exciting today. I made some eggs over easy in garlic infused olive oil and had them on slices of toast made with potato rosemary bread. Simple but delicious!
After a high rep, full-body workout and 20+ hours of intermittent fasting, I ate this 16 oz. grass-fed sirloin with steamed broccoli, along with some jasmine rice topped with grass-fed garlic-herb butter.
Last night I made steak rouladen with asparagus, brussel sprouts, sauteed peppers and red onion and homemade home fries. It was good. The rouladen were stuffed with peppers, onion, ham, smoked mozzarella and spinach.
I'm not only drooling, but now I've also totally forgotten what I'm supposed to do today before work.
