I didn't see a tattoo photo thread! You know what to do, folks. Upper left thigh/hip Outer right calf Inner right forearm Upper right arm
Im not done yet, so i'll withhold any pictures at the moment. I've the word "falconer" in English on my right shoulderblade. Hopefully i'll get the same word in several different languages listed down the right side of my back.
What's the story behind your tattoos? Did you get them just because you liked them or do they hold any special meaning for you? I'm curious because you mentioned a future tattoo of a golden apple and the story behind it in another thread.
Let's see, the nautical on my calf was for fun. It was my first. The "born to raze hell" is for my dad. He's a pastor, and even though we have conflicting views, I wanted to get something for him. The word "raze" actually means to tear down and destroy. The kiss on my shoulder is pretty self explanatory, I think. The butterfly wings on my arm are actually my son's baby foot prints if you look closely. The daffodils around it, are his birth flower. The sugar skull on my thigh is a representation of Dia de los Muertos. In case you don't know what that is, on November 1st each year, people in Mexico make an altar to honor passed loved ones. Part of the decorations, are little sugar skulls they make, then decorate with lots of color and flowers. A very good friend of mine just passed away from leukemia last month. That giant, detailed, painful tattoo was in her honor. The pain was also therapy in a huge way, and really helped me deal with the emotional pain.
P.s. the sugar skull took about 4 1/2 hours, and I sat through the entire session with only one 5 min break. My artist said people usually don't make it past 3 hours in his chair (he's not very gentle). The last half hour was excruciatingly awful!
Mama: What are you standing next to with that one shoulder pic? It reminds me of my bondage rack. LOL I've shared mine a few other threads but I'm an attention whore so I will gladly share again.
Lmao I may be into a bit of restraint use, but I've yet to use a bondage rack! I'm standing on the side of my vanity . That's beautiful!
Sonnova!!! Just as I'm posting this, my mom makes a facebook status about going in for her fourth tattoo. I got in so much shit for my first tattoo, then I take her in a 65 to get her first and now she's about to have more tatts than me....Fuck.
Haha! I'm the only one inked up in my family. Every one else dislikes tattoos. Whenever I get a new one, the reaction is always, "oh, that's nice."
