How fracking is done and the concerns with it. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CFm8ttchMt4&feature=youtu.be
It seems to be done quite safely in the video (beginning)... Everything has inherent risks, though. It also obviously depends where abouts it is done. It's a shame you have to learn lessons by doing it. It was a very fair video.
I think it is a matter of finding ways to get at this natural gas without harming the water. America needs this natural gas. So until someone comes up with a new method for getting this natural gas fracking isn't going anywhere.
Can you stick a hose down a groundhog hole, turn on the water, and expect to not get groundhog shit in the water?
Having examined water-pressure aspects of the deadly Listeria cantaloupe outbreak in Colorado, the comparisons to fracking are disturbing. Yahoo Groups: preventionbetterthancure
Fracking can be done safely, within limitations. I remember back in the day when all that was used was water and nitrogen. Problem is, as stated in the video (op), thee are water wells that are already producing natural gas. A rancher I knew long ago had oil in his well water. There were no wells on his land or the surrounding land either.
In response to your question, no. We are starting to run out of crude oil and now we will be seeing all kinds of attempts to get what the industry calls "tight oil" out of the ground. Fracking can leave the groundwater contaminated for thousands of years and causes all kinds of other pollution problems as well. What we really need is for people to consume less and stop using oil, coal and biofuels before our planet is destroyed.
