I'm asking this question because I'm actually curious. I'm not trying to start a debate. Personally I believe astrology is just pseudoscience, but I'm interested to hear what some true believers say. Sorry if this has been asked before. Honestly I only looked at the first page............

All I know is that I am a Libra to the T except for the social butterfly aspect.

Not sure. Used to look at my horoscope when we used to get newspapers, but it always seemed pretty generalized. Tried to get into it but it started sounding like the Wholly Babble, you know, like it could be made to fit whatever a person wanted it to say, so I quit looking into it. Maybe it works, don't really know.

i think it depends more on the sensitivity of the astrologer and their interpretation, although i do think that the placement of various huge bodies in space must have some kind of effect on all things in their relative vicinity... i find the i-ching more reliably accurate... spot on infact... spookily spot on infact... have you ever tried the i-ching?

of course. everyone i've ever met who has a birthday close to mine is exactly like me. and we all really only get along with people with the exact same birthdays too.

i mean really, what proven fact are you going to dispute next, the tooth fairy?

i know my dad was the tooth fairy, he told me all about it. that's why he used to go out every night. all his money disappeared because he was giving it out to kids, and he always came home smelling like perfume because that was part of the tooth fairy uniform.

In my opinion, astrology is accurate when you really get super serious, looking up all about your chart...not just your sun sign. You need to be aware of your rising sign and then you need to look at ALL the houses, all your aspects, and sometimes the degrees that the houses are on and the degrees of the planets make a difference. Just for one example...my sun is unaspected, which in itself "means something". There are literally numerous things to be looked at and considered when evaluating a chart.

All that being said, if you want to spend a lot of time studying it, astrology can be strangely precise and quite interesting. (My son also calls it a pseudo-science...which his chart indicated he would view astrology just like that. :p lol)

If ever the newspaper horoscope is accurate, it is by chance.

I obviously like to hear good news about myself - so I read all the astrological signs in the newspaper, and pick out the one I like :D OK, I know that is cheating - but that's about as serious as I take this.

LOL ^ And that is exactly the way you should do it when reading newspaper horoscopes. :D

Obviously, I know a bit about astrology. That being said, KNOWING has not changed a ding-dang thing in my life. Perhaps it explained a bit (or a lot), but that is all. (I'm still recovering from a very stupidly and badly broken ankle.)

I read a little about kabbalah about ten years ago. I think it was about peoples personalities passing through the planets. I even wrote a paper on it (for myself). It was all rather earnest (from what I remember). I think I was a lot more open to these types of things when I was younger. I've just grown really cynical or really lazy - I'm not sure.

To me it's a silly pseudoscience, and I can't really take seriously anyone who believes in it, and makes natal charts and such.

Depends what your talking about really... Newspaper horoscopes etc - no.
But things like personality traits I have read, have all been scarily true. I'm more interested in the Mayan side of things, they were some freaking cool people! :2thumbsup: depends on the individual I suppose.

I just can't believe that everything's black & white, what you see is what you get kind of crap...

Well, what I've found particularly interesting so far from reading this topic and this forum, is that there's much more to astrology than I realized. I guess all I really knew about was the newspaper astrology sections... I didn't know there were astrologists who can make an entire chart. I still am not sure how accurate that is, but it is interesting that there's more to astrology than I thought.

Astrology is your (mine) past, present and future so if only humans would understand astrology and multiverses, maybe we'd be in better shape.......only a few, know the true knowlegde and it is somehow kept from us all. It's for us(humanity as a whole) to evolve and get to better living. It's for the population to wake up and see what's out there.Open your mind and you'll see this world differently...... CHEERS
