Twitter has been ordered to turn over 180 days worth of Malcom Harris's tweets to Manhattan's Criminal Court.

Harris was arrested October 1, 2011 as part of the mass arrests of Occupy protesters on the Brooklyn Bridge.

The D.A.'s office had subpoenaed Harris's tweets for the period of Sept. 15 to Dec. 31. The only posts they will not have access to are from Dec. 31st since the rest of the tweets were less than 180 days old as of the date of the ruling (Monday). The law states that a search warrant vs. subpoena is necessary for tweets less than 180 days old.

If people would realize the internet wasn't a smoke screen for your "freedom of speech" maybe ya'll wouldn't be pissed when these folk have their own words used against them.

As far as I can tell, the main issue being raised by the Occupy movement currently is "how much of an arsehole is Malcolm Harris, and what will it take to shut this obnoxious twit up?"
