Who would pick Lady Gaga..... Pink Floyd Lynyrd Skynyrd Bad Company Free Queen 10CC The Allmann Brothers The Doors Boston The Eagles Yes, most of it's old. I may sound like a cranky superrannuated old fart, but the best music EVER really was from 1962-1982. As much as anything, I think the music drove the "freedom revolution"
my favorites are the doors, hendrix, marley & the wailers, jefferson airplane, and many more.. I dig hendrix the most, he spent the most time working on music and his love for creativity absolutely astonish me, he has so much material out there besides his 3 albums with the experience
Queen is my all time #1 band...Freddie Mercury is the only man who ever walked this earth that I beleive I may have questioned my own sexuality for. Such an amazing talent in both singing and songwriting, Bohemian Rhapsody will be rememberd long after everyone on this fourm is dead. The Doors are a close second for me. I love Jim Morrison's dark style and his don't give a fuck attitude was the icing on the cake. He was a good poet and really insightful on many world issues as well. I've got much love for many other groups as well though. Jimi Hendrix was amazing...I could listen to his version Hey Joe all day long. The Who Bad Company Pink Floyd Led Zep AC/DC Alice in Chains Pearl Jam Stone Temple Piolets. I could on forever and make an insane list.

My all time favorite artist is matthew good. He is by far the best lyrical compositionist i have ever heard but there are so many great bands out there. Pink floyd is a great band but david gilmour made that band more of a success than i think it woul have been without him, AC/DC is another band and The Smashing Pumpkins to name a few others. I think the classic rock bands hold more value than todays music because they wrote meaningful music that was generation neutral.
Joy Division Leftover Crack Bauhaus Jefferson Airplane Joyce Manor Beirut Can't really think of much else(have too many to list, but wouldn't consider them favourites) but these bands I could listen to for days; I really like Bob Dylan too.
