(Edit: It was placed in "Conspiracy" but I think we need it here in "Politics" ~Aerianne) Not sure if this belongs here or under politics, but they don't like cut and paste posts over there so I'm putting it here... Pretend it about the NWO or something... Have you heard of TPP or Trans-Pacific-Partnership? It's just a trade agreement, right? Not quite! Wow...Thanks for posting this. I've shared it with someone who has a very large international viewer base on facebook, youtube, and a radio show so it won't be quite as secret as it has been. Grrrr, the shit that goes on!
So nobody cares if life as you know it ends and you truly become a corporate slave with no freedoms and no say in how your life is run? Sad...
Maybe this? http://stopthetrap.net/ Or, yeah... Comments and discussion would be good, maybe even tell people about it. If TPP passes in it's current form it's going to effect a lot of people. (basically anyone that uses the internet for anything) Or we could just ignore it and hope it goes away...

I changed the thread title. Sometimes something more descriptive will cause people to read and discuss.
There are petitions, contact your legislators, tell friends and family members... It's not just internet freedoms either, this "trade agreement" contains language that allows companies to sue countries for their regulations, It makes out sourcing of jobs much easier for these multi-national companies... The list goes on and on. The largest companies in the world are writing this legislation themselves and they are doing it in secret. They want to pass it into law before anybody, including the nations agreeing to it, even get to see what's in there. Thanks for the title change, Aerianne...
Nobody cares what I say about anything, I'm just that raving nutjob who's always telling anyone who will listen about how they live in a fascist sham of a country, and how they're constantly losing more and more freedoms of every type, and how both political parties are fucking them over and want the same things..... etc. Anyway, few people take it very seriously, and they're all the same as me anyways, so nobody takes THEM seriously. They hardly glance up from their cell phones if you mention how it's just a tracking device, and is recording that drug deal they're conducting over it.
Unless it's given to me as a gift. I don't own anything that hasn't been built or grown within 100 miles of where I live. So it doesn't matter what deal they put through when you take the step I did.
I see a lot of conspiracy talk in HipForums -- people totally paranoid about things that probably don't even exist, like NWO, martial law, taking guns away, UN conspiracies, etc. But the Trans-Pacific Partnership is something that is really going on and it just might be worse than any of those things. The more I read about it, I am aghast at the implications. If you care about the U.S.A as a sovereign nation, if you care about internet freedoms, copyright, getting GM food labelled, etc., you should be paying close attention to the secret negotiations going on all around the world right now. I know it's secret, but that's kind of the point -- we should be asking "Why the secrecy?" My understanding is that these corporate types will try to get fast-track authority in Congress, effectively by-passing democracy. THEY MUST BE STOPPED.
This was on Alternet.com today The entire article is here http://www.alternet.org/economy/huge-multinationals-are-plotting-steamroll-our-democracy-their-hunt-profits/
Hope this brings back some more discussion on this topic... Seems most people would rather ignore it.
