Yeah tickets are brutally expensive, and always sold out in a couple of months. I'm sure the cost would still be worth it tho.. I think i might just have to resort to devious doings to get in this year...

    Cheaper than BM !
Also its Canadian dollars which varies yr to yr but was about $84 US a while back.
Ppl dont complain about the price, which adds up to near a million $

Its the closest thing Canada has to Burning Man.
Like Mariposa [or Rochdale College] was the closest thing to Woodstock.

Im not a promoter, so I cant tell you much. I liked it but didnt like it.

You know, the canadian dollar is worth MORE than the american dollar, and has been for some time.
I'd like to go, but i know of many smaller scale rave/gatherings in BC that are free...
BUT YOU KNOW, i have heard that if you make a raft and boat down the river to the Salmo Ranch, you can get in for free. Not sure if this is true, but it sounds real neat! I guess if they see that you put in that much time and effort to build a raft and float your stuff down with you, they wont do anything. Same goes for skydivers.

My religion forbids sex with prostitues.

btw malwart was found to be bribing mexico millions to usurp laws there.

    now back to shambhala ...
the first time i went there was rock and acoustic music at some venues away from the main stage ...

i met the 12 tribes a christain cult with Ken" Kesey's old hippie bus
    [IMG]

so it wasnt just electronic music then
i went twice after that and didnt like it
i was dosed with ghb and my van robbed one year
and robbed again another ... threads on their forum show this becoming commonplace more and more as years go bye

its not what it was when it began but the owners make an estimated million dollars from it and many younger kids still swear its ''fun'' in spite of increasing strange borderline psychotic behavior by attendees

local business owners refer to it as a problem for the nelson community
and the local hospital is said to treat many psychotic episodes every year

i dont like electro mucic much and attended for the dance and social aspects but this isnt targeting my age group

many witnesses made a forum thread about a guy who climbed out on a beam over the dance crowd and ejaculated onto the people below
[i swear i dont invent this stuff] so there are some crazy folk there and ive always wondered if a murder or other tragedy might end it someday

despite my personal bad experiences many people drugged out or who love dance still say its a good time

They are also now looking out for people trying to float in and sneak in for free.
    Don't do the raft thing.

hard to find metal there ...
    mostly acids and benzenes.
but you could stand by a running car and breathe mercury fumes.
