There is no way to save it, it's best we get off of it.

If you're planning to get off the Earth, I suggest you take a towel because it's the most massively useful thing an interstellar traveler can have. Partly because it has great practical value, more importantly though, the towel has immense psychological value.

Its not dying, mother nature is a tough bitch. The earth will outlive us all. We might mess things up and make it difficult for earth to sustain humans, but as soon as we die off mother nature will reclaim everything we ruined.

Each is destined to exit the planet the day the personal biology gets discarded. I think the plain English term for that is "death".

It's not exploding tomorrow so I don't really see the big hurry. I think any other planet would pose much more serious dangers.

    Everything is dying.

The earth is fine. It's just getting rid of a parasite.

it isn't the earth, its human society, kind of collectively killing itself for short sighted greed.

Not only greed. Laziness, gluttony, over-population, habit...

all of which are pretty much forms of aggressiveness. which all ideologies are lame excuses for.

but the idea that this is an irreversible, or even default condition, is simply wrong.

is it ? The way humans are destroying the enviroment on daily basis through pollution, over grazing ,strip mining , deforestation ,global warming etc i find it hard to believe that our Earth Mother will ever recover fully from this wholesale destruction by humankind .

Earth will recover, maybe not in exactly the same way she was before, but she will recover. Remember she wasn't always like she was before the industrial revolution either. After the mass extinction that wiped out the dinosaurs she recovered...... differently.

I really hope so . The need of humans need to destroy , dominate and change everything to suit themselves is what's killing her , if we all get off the planet for about a thousand years or so maybe , just maybe we can save the planet . Humans are not only killing the planet there killing themselves in the process .

    Some humans will survive.

The ones who live with the Earth and take care of Her. :)

Those that are in the right place at the right time..... Yes, they could survive. Just being a good caregiver wouldn't guarantee it though. If/When the Earth decides to get rid of these "pesky humans" she's not going to be able to be selective.
