i haven't visited it or anything but all the pictures and reviews + word of mouth has been really good.. what year are you in school?
for sure man i'm a regular in the stoner's lounge and post around a bit elsewhere too, i requested a friend on here as well i've also never been to cali, but it just seems like a pilgrimage i am destined to make lol i have a friend that lives in LA area that wants me to visit him and we'd probably do a coastal drive to SanFran i have family in colorado and that would be a stop for me in boulder, perhaps fart around in the mountains a bit too, as we know a lot of people around there. crestone is definitely someplace i'd like to revisit needless to say, there is a patchwork of places to hit in my hopes. will probably require a tent and sleeping bag though, cuz who knows what sleeping conditions may get like.
dunno if you heard of it before, but there's this couch surfing gig where people allow you to stay at their place for a day or to.. if the conditions are right i would love to camp out but it wouldn't hurt to have a back-up plan and a back-up bed haha.. but yeah never been to cali myself, got an uncle who also lives near LA, but other than that, I'm going out there with hopes & dreams!
are you trying to stay out there or just kind of extended vacation type deal? i'm still not sure what holds for me. i might just be out there for the summer (maybe try to get a trimming gig) and head back to colorado for the fall/winter
I'm planning on staying. i'm trying to apply for humboldt state university as we speak, so that i can have somewhere to live for the first 2 years, then after i get familiar with the area, and the state, i'll find somewhere to live !
right on. i'd like to go to school out there, but even my instate tuition in missouri is creating an enormous debt that scares me on a studio art degree salary.
im a freshman now and want to go there for either fall or spring of next year. yeah i plan on taking a road trip this summer to check it out
Just in case, as far as I've heard you can't apply for in state tuition until you've lived there for two years.. So there's a high change you'll be paying out of state tuition fees. I see for HSU, those are 372 per credit unit. So you're looking at probably about 5500 extra a semester on top of tuition. Just something to consider. Best of luck though
yeah i know, it's all good though, i'll put my application in at the end of the month. even with out of state tuition it still isn't even a third of what i'd pay to stay here. thank you though!
