I love them also. Libraries...especially the older ones. I prefer to hold a book, turn the pages...no Kindle for me.

Bookstores do seem fun, I like the environment, but even still I like reading digitally the best

    Pretty cool, DM!

Yeah, I like books, like actual books that don't need to be charged, that you can fall asleep with without fear that they'll fall off the bed, that you can take to the beach, that you can quickly flip through to find a passage, etc etc etc. Real books. So, bookstores and libraries are pretty grand.

Sadly, they seem to be fading where I'm at, being starved of tax monies.
Which is ...a mixed bag, really, they're starting private libraries, which are certainly cleaner, with less mentally ill. lol.

But, kinda The Death of a great socialist experiment. Free education for the poor.
Then again...more and more of the books down there seem to be black erotica (I'm serious!).
And the books are losing ground to DVDs and the Internet. And Movie Nights for the kids...

i like bookstores just to see whats available. technical books are expensive so i like to download it as a pdf and then print it. then i bind it together with one of those spiral things. the pdf version has the advantage of being able to run a search on it, the printed version has the advantage that i can use my monitor for something else.

I appreciate books too. I will never go 100% electronic.

I love both used and new bookstores. Unfortunately, I the biggest bookstore in the city closed down this month. I'm worried the others are going to close down soon as well.

I usually order my books on amazon.com, and I can find used ones for cheap on there. I do LOVE going to a bookstore and browsing though.

I love books. I will never go electronic for reading, it just doesn't feel right to me.

I love libraries and used bookstores. There is a great used bookstore here that has big table out front of 1$ books!
