Point Impossible on the SW coast of Victoria ("Posso" to longboard and body surfers, and nudists too).

People there: varies greatly: weekdays only a scattering; weekends, often packed.

Kind of people there: Nudists! :2thumbsup: Families, singles, first-timers, the curious pace up and down before a frantic strip and plunge into the water....

Other kinds are not so welcome: "dune mites" that trawl the sand dunes spying on nudists on the sand below. Local Shire has now introduced a By-law prohibiting entry to the dune system and launches surprise Police patrols, fining those who are monitored (prior to pouncing) by a Detective walking the beach incognito. The fine is presently $500. Having said that, "Posso" has been "my beach" since I was born nearby 50 years ago! I was quick to figure out how to escape my Mumsy's clutches (sparking many a serious search for "Little Gabby"), wiggle out of my nappy, navigate cold, clear but shallow Bream Creek and experience open air nudism not long after I learned to walk, LOL! :baby::)

My favorite 'public' nude beach is Blacks Beach in San Diego. I just love the place, the warm water and mild weather. There used to be a nude beach near San Onofre, but it's been closed, sadly. In northern California, Baker Beach sits in the shadow of the Golden Gate and has great views, but the water can be chilly. The Bay Area has several more scenic nude beaches, but it's wise to check the weather before going, since fog can be a problem even in summer.

Apollo Beach on Florida's East Coast in Canaveral National Seashore.
Bring drinking water and maybe hand sanitizer as restrooms are primitive.

Google searches will try to send you to an Apollo Beach in Tampa area. Don't go there. Go to New Smyrna Beach and head south down the coast road.

Not a gawker problem on my visit. Dunes are fiercely guarded by park rangers to protect the sea grass, but it helps keep the gawkers out too.

Get there extra early as parking is tight. Take a taxi or share a ride to increase your chances of getting a space.

With all preliminaries out of the way now I can describe it
Nudity is a perfect fit for this peaceful sandy paradise. The ocean stays warm well into the fall. Enjoy!

In my country it is a beach near a village called ChaƂupy, located in northern Poland, on Hel Peninsula. It's famous as a long, sandy beach full of naturists from all over the world. Those who are planning a trip to Poland should definitely check it up!

Collins Beach on Sauvie Island, near Portland, Oregon. It's great during warm weather, but watch the water - it's C-O-L-D!!! ;)

HAULOVER beach in North Miami Beach, Florida. To start with it has true sand and not ground up sea shells (nicer on the feet). Here you will find all types singles, couples, families, gay, and of course all ages. Each with their own section. Not by rules or laws, it's just how people flock to the different parts. It is desiginated a "clothing-optional" beach. The southern half is for textiles (no nuditiy). Not to be confused with South beach. There ladies can go topless but no nudity (both genders). On Haulover you can find food vendors right on the beach. So if you get hungry or thursty there's no need to dress. There's ample parking, just $5 for as long as you are there. A short walk from the parking lot through under passes to the beach. There is a service road (for maintainance and emergancy veheciels). Also there are lifegard stands throughout. As well as police patrols. Good for the trouble makers. I'd have to say in a utopian world this has to be a model others should follow. If you come, enjoy.

Was at Apollo Beach yesterday... is very nice. Not crowded (most likely because of the very limited parking).

Myrtiossa (think that's the spelling) in Corfu. The setting is unique, the beach is in 2 parts textile and nude but you can wander freely about if you want. It is quite crowded but very relaxed. The beach bar is in the textile part but no-one minds naturists using it. A truly clothing optional environment.

For the unprepared parking there can be a major hassle.
I got there late one day and had a long walk from the lot north of the clothing optional entrance.

I have been thinking about next time the lot is full; here are some ideas:
Park at a lot up the beach and.. ride a bike and chain it up at the lot,
    call a taxi or
    walk, walk, walk
get there real, real early while there still are spaces to grab

There are motels just north of the park entrance so I can arrive the night before and that makes it much easier to get to the nude beach while there are still parking spaces nearby.
Some of these motels are friendly to nudist guests and I plan to reward them with my business.

    This got me to thinking...
If the nude use is so popular, maybe the park service should allow one more clothing optional area at a second parking lot. There is no federal law against nudity at national seashores, but park superintendants can spot zone "no nudity" areas. And county governments can ban nudity on federal land within that county. These are both very bad loopholes in the law in my opinion.

Would be nice if the park or the local nudist group / park friends group could run a weekend shuttle between parking lots...

I've only been to one nude beach and that was by accident - but when in Rome!!
Wrek beach in Vancouver. What a great time.

Only gawkers I noticed were the cops on the ridge with binoculars trying to catch the vendors.

A quiet little cove not far from me in Cornwall. I don't even know it's name other than what we call it 'boat cove'. The access is via a steep little cliff path and once there it is always quiet and catches the sun with little wind. Only known to locals there are usually no more than half a dozen nude sun bathers and sometimes the odd fisherman catching off the rocks. It's great for BBQ's and parties - only thing is you have to watch the tide!

Bonny Doon is our default beach, followed by Baker, Edwards Crossing, and Hidden creek beach at Lake Tahoe.

When in Florida for the winter...I like Apollo for the more quiet time for reading, napping, thinking. If I'm up to more social activity I like playalinda. people are friendly in general at both.
