The way my body was in concert with my desire to get up in the morning.

 

The simple life. playing in the street, the football games. watching soul train with my siblings.. tryin to do the dance moves. my grandfather.

 

I miss my parents being together and living in the same country. The lack of responsibility and simplicity of life.

My mother and the way she made me feel safe. Long hot summers of freedom to go where we wanted without fear. Lots of simple pleasures, so many I couldn't list them all here.

Trick or Treatment every Halloween
Celebrating every holiday as if it matters
Christmas morning
Everything seems bigger
Getting excited over the smallest things
Everyday was an adventure
Snowball fights, snow-forts, building snowmen
Family cookouts
Learning new things
Boyscouts

Hotwater

 

Being naive
Believing in God
Dad wasn't a drug addict or an alcoholic
School
Playing with action figures and coming up with some awesome story arcs
Being able to put my worries and needs ahead of everyone else's

 

I miss getting excited about the small stuff. Halloween was a HUGE event back then. Now, it's nothing.

 

I miss everything about my childhood....

THINGS WERE MUCH BETTER THAN.... BETTER QUALITY,BETTER EVERYTHING!!!

The world is nothing but a shit hole now and its sad

 

I miss having all my meals made for me ...and my laundry too
