Just gave my dog a big hug under the moonlight.. Id probably want that for eternity more than anything else..
when it comes to time, i tend to think more sideways in space. i love that its such a big and diverse universe. the think about eternity is that i don't expect, nor find it convinceingly likely, to spend all of it in one place. just as this life is not for ever, i don't expect whatever comes after it to be either, nor what comes after that, nor after that and so on. each itteration may be of an entirely different nature. i have no idea if that will prove to be the case. but there were dreams i had before i was physically born, that seem to have suggested, by things we don't have here yet being in them, that at least there were previous lives.
I am well, but as far as I get is emergent current, or the currently emergent, a constant state of becoming.
Nice to meet you as well! I am fairly new to this forum, although I have been reading the posts and such here for quite a while. Its a pleasure to finally post among you!
Oh Ok, Ill just take your word for it. Or you could, you know, tell us why. If that's not too far below you.
i know nothing of above or below. i do not see a hierarchal universe. but i do see one that is infinitely diverse. having to be or not be is something we tell ourselves. no one knows what cannot be, only that we can observe some things to happen more often then others. so there's no end of room for things we know NOTHING about. only no obligation for them to resemble anything we pretend that we do.
Walsh: Why not? themnax: Physical form is not quite so cut and dried either! ; D Eternity is physical. I've discovered I can't get there alone, but maybe that's just me! : D
Thought is time-bound. You either think about the past or the future, which is a modified version of the past projected forwards. Eternity is not based in time at all.
Not being able to hold ones thought to the moment indefinitely does not mean it is not of it. Nor does it necessarily mean becoming able to is out of the question. I thought you said it couldn't be thought about! : D Eternity is all time, not timelessness. The only thing it is bound to is thought. Its feeling is free!
Yes, I see what you're saying. The concept of eternity is a product of thought, but the conceptualization itself posits a reality, and it is that reality that cannot be accessed by thought.
like a lot of other things. i think about it all the time. i just don't take it personal. if i get to live in it, cool. if not, its still there, isn't it?
