I went to a Rainbow gathering in North Carolina back in...87' I think it was. It rained every day. Lots of mud. But we got 18 nekid people in a three person dome tent with body oil all over us while doing XTC. Whoa! What a trip!

 

Hey y'all.. I'm a South Carolinian living in France, but coming back to the states this summer and surely hitting up the Gathering (first time). If any of y'all want to network beforehand, and maybe car pool or something, i'll be in Florida, and could totally drop by if you're in the South East; we could pool up to NC. Please please please please please North Carolina!!! I have been trying to get to a RG -- to get HOME -- for TEN YEARS!... ever since I first heard about them. I lived in Cali at the time, and I would've gone to the Nationals in Modoc, but I was occupying a beautiful ancient redwood at the time. Now I live in NC, and I am SO THERE if it is anywhere near, but I think if it was in NC, I would seriously cry with joy. Please NC!!!

I'm glad it's on this side of the country at least! I have a feeling it will be in north carolina- lots of open-minded hippie types everywhere and lots and lots of forest.
I hope it's either there or kentucky (just because it's closer to mee).

I will most likely be going...I tried to make it to ocala this year, got as far as brunswick, GA and got really really sick from alcohol and ended up just coming home to ohio. Was not too stoked on ocala anyway, it was just something to do til warmer weather comes.

I have never been to a national gathering, pretty excited!!

 

Any Bay Area crazy hippies heading yonder to what appears to be a national gathering on the southeast coast down to pick up a hitchhiker/straggler or so...weed for gas or some shit y'all?

I have never been to a rainbow Gathering, but It sounds like something I would love to do. I will be extremely pregnant by the time it comes around this year, a few months from delivering. Anyway, what should I bring to a rainbow gathering?

 

It was a hell of a walk to get all you're camping gear back there last year.

 

I went to a rainbow gathering back in 79' or 80' in Washington State, just north of Spokane. A woman gave birth at the gathering. The father gave away 10,000 hits of LSD to celebrate.

Bring a shelter, sleeping bag, food and a midwife.

 

Is there one in Quebec, Canada again this year? I know normally it's in Aug. Last year was supposed to be my first time, but I was due to give birth on Aug. 5th.
People encouraged me to "give birth in the woods" buuuut I opted out.
I'd love to go this year though, I'm sure little bud would like it too.

 

Oh I forgot, also bring a water purifier, a bowl, a cup, a spoon and TP.

 

Have a stunning time really glad I made Washington last year- if I had the means I would be going to the gathering in Mexico ....
