I want to try weed for recreational use not really spirituality but im a Buddhist . I also want to try LSD to become knowledgeable and find happiness. Or become aware(mindful) of things Also how can I get LSD in high-school ?
I believe so especially if you are referring to the philosophy as opposed to the rigid rules of religion ... well I did and still profess the philosophy of Buddhism.
Idk why I ended up making this topic. Buddhism isn't that strict I can follow it and tweak it alttle. And maybe it will work for me.
psh, as long as it's not hurting anyone else, you're in the clear! Also, try going to a rave, they usually have people selling X and acid.
Ok. The thing is , there are a lot of ravers in 12 grade but they graduated :I. Sent from my Desire HD using Tapatalk
I'm sure I want to get into that :I . I'd rather do LSD alone or with good friends. Sent from my Desire HD using Tapatalk
Buddhists are encouraged to take the Five Precepts, one of which is to refrain from using intoxicants. If you had taken that vow, breaking it would have serious consequences. Taking the Precepts is not a requirement.
I'm aware of the five precepts. But I guess I haven't taken that vow because I'm on antidepressants. Sent from my Desire HD using Tapatalk
I was wondering the same thing. It's not like its Christianity where there is a God to fear. Sent from my Desire HD using Tapatalk
It turns you into a person whose promise can't be counted on. Which in turn means that others will not trust you. No fire and brimstone, just yer basic bad karma.
nothing to do with you having a toke or whatever, but no religion should be followed because of fear!
every religion has its pros and cons. If you are intelligent you can pic the pros of each religion and add them.
Yes intoxicants are discouraged, but Buddha himself encouraged his students to dissent, to rely on their own perceptions. "Believe nothing, no matter where you read it, or who said it, no matter if I have said it, unless it agrees with your own reason and your own common sense.” This question comes up allot on this forum, but there is no definite answer. In my opinion Buddha was speaking more against things like opium, which was very prevalent during his time. Some say Buddha himself even ate cannabis for relaxation. There is a difference between using something, and letting it use you. When that thing becomes an attachment that leads to suffering, it's at that point it becomes something else. The state of mind a drug brings on could facilitate some meaningful growth. But it's not a guarantee, one still needs respect and a focused mind.
That is a common MISquote. What he said was to believe nothing, regardless of who said it, unless you find it wholesome. The actual quote is:
