Take a cutting, plant it. A nursery can supply you with all the details and supplies you would need. I would assume you have tested it to be sure it's worth cloning. Otherwise go buy another to have more...

Do you know how one goes about testing it? I've never heard or a reliable test!

Well, um, hmmm. If the pictures on the wall animate thematically like a Harry potter film, and you can see the bones and blood vessels in your hand just by looking at it, and translucent grasshoppers jump up out of a moving carpet, that cactus, my good sir, is a keeper...

Sorry. There are sub varieties of San Pedro whose content varies genetically. I call these "home depot" varieties. They give entheogens a bad name...

This is close but not 100% true. When you take a cutting you should let the cutting callus over for a few weeks so it has a protective layer. Without this rot will set in and kill your cutting. Also if the mother plant is an outdoor plant cut on a 30 angle and keep dry for a few weeks after taking the cutting.

He's talking about making tea there , not making pups.

No, he asked how to clone SP because he wants more cacti.

Where in the world did you get the idea he asked about tea?

If you read , some one said Test it first . OP asked how to test.

I've been growing many years , Boiling a cacti will not clone it.

Then you quoted the wrong post, hence my confusion as to your meaning.

Well ive actually just cloned a cutting i got in the mail the other month and what i did is when i cut, i used a steralized knife, took 2 3 ich cuttings off of it, let it dry out for about a month or so, and a month or so later, im seeing signs of pups starting out of the top, which is new growth, it isn't hard, san pedro can handle alot of abuse, just order good quality cuttings, ive had good success with ones i got off of amazons website, relax it isn't that hard, just be sure to dry it out as dry as you can get the pad before planting because otehrwise its just going to rot, hope i helped.
