Hobbit may not be filmed in NZ

I hope these films are made in NZ. It would be bad for the NZ economy and the actors if they continue the strike. I personally wouldn't like the movies as much if it were filmed anywhere but NZ.

Also, I had a phone call with a tech firm based in Auckland and I asked the guy interviewing me about LOTR and he says that almost every person in NZ knows someone, or at least knows someone who knows someone who was involved in the making of LOTR. Any of the Kiwis on here fit into that category?
