I have avoided the movies "Forgetting Sarah Marshall" and "Get Him To The Greek" because of all the crap I heard about Russell Brand. Just watched both movies over the weekend and I must say, however begrudgingly, that I think he is very funny and has a wonderful voice. I know he's very much a love him/hate him type of guy (ie Adam Sandler) and wanted to see what everyone else thinks.
My brother knows him, and he is a really nice guy and can be very funny. I have seen a few films with him in and he's cool, I don't see why people would avoid a film that he might be in.
i like him, he seems to rely more on his personality than actual material when he enteratains... but at least his personality is unique... and the entertainment industry needs all the unique personalities it can get
where did this guy even come from? He's not really an actor I assume, so how did he get into movies? Was he a stand up comedian before he started doing movies?
I think he's a very intelligent and spiritual man. I often watch his youtube series the Trews. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FcjJUI8vZRg&list=UUswH8ovgUp5Bdg-0_JTYFNw
I wouldn't watch the type of films he's in but I watch his interviews. He's got quite a following now for this revolution ideal and I like a lot of what he says, even if he can get a little...manic.
