How many of you kynd brothers and sisters have been to Lake Travis in Austin, TX? If you haven't been, you need to go. It's the only nude beach in the great state of Texas!!! Whoo hoo!
Oh yeah, not everywhere on Lake Travis is clothing optional. The park is MacGregor State Park, a.k.a. Hippie Hollow.
Spent a lot of time at Hippie Hollow years ago when it was really cool to be there. Ther along came the gays and us guys learned what women were talking about when they said they didn't like being leared at. It's hard to relax and enjoy the benifits of being nude when someone is always trying to cop a look.
hehe....my aunt and uncle, who live outside of austin, told me all about hippie hollow....we didn't visit it when i was there last, but i want to check it out sometime...
hippie hollow, austin, tx. yep nice place to hang out. Being a texas boy I lived in austin for 2 years. Spent a couple of summers there. Yes gay and the others hang out there, and there are some who come just to watch, but for the rest of us its still a nice place to hang out with people who enjoy the nude lifestyle. I do recommend that if you fall asleep on the beach that you have some suntan lotion on your butt.
I usually make it there a couple of times a year at least. Its a pretty cool place to hang out nude. There is a good mix of nudes, clothed people and topless. No one cares what your preference is as to attire or lack there of. There are gays there as mentioned above, but so what, they usually keep to themselves (and keep their swimming suits on) at the far end of the park. If they want to come have a look at the us naked straight people what does it really hurt. I have only had one bad experience with one that would not leave me alone. Finally, I had to leave that time but other than that they generally just walk on by to the get to the gay area. You also get quite a few of the college girls from TU there to experience a nude beach. And if they also want to look that's OK as well, some of them actually try it and become converts to nudism. Lord knows we need some new blood in nudism, most nudist parks in Texas look like nudist retirement communities. :dizzy2:
We stopped there this past summer. Was in Austin for a comcert and the gf's daughter wanted to go. My gf put on some weight and didnt want to go. I took the youngster and we had a blast. Different vibe than the few other nude resort/beaches Ive been to. Many erect and semi erect guys.That was more accepted there than the other places. We met a few nice people. Walked around a lot and apparently found the gay area. Got a few compliments and witnessed some oral sex that wasnt very hidden at all. We had a good time and she wants to go back.
Local weirdo here. This town is either the best or worst place to grow up in... At 20 hippie hollow is where I learned about my personal views on sexuality and beauty. Apparently I'm wrong and have extreme views... Suffice it to say I think we all have seasons in life, youth is beautiful beautiful, everyone is beautiful not everyone is sexy. Sexualizing adolescents, perpetuating rape-culture, violence based media vs. Love, shame culture, marginalizing demographics and treating anyone as sub-human is ununacceptable . I discovered these truths smoking a bunch of homegrown nug with some of the oldest naked hippies I ever saw. Changed my world for the better I think.
