ive recently decided to plant some in my grandmother's garden. you can make spoons, bowls, cups, tobacco pipes, and stuff

i got the idea from a gourd my grandparents gave me. its carved and painted like a peacock, i made a tobacco pipe out of it! ^_^ it kicks ass

Check out etsy.com and search for "hippie" or "bohemian" - there are tons of awesome crafters and artists! Really inspiring place, when you find the right shops..

Till the end of the 30th you can get a PRO account for $5.95. Just sign up for a basic free account first, if you don't already have an account and then opt in to the $5.95 Group Deal.
I was spending that much a month on Etsy just to list.
As far as more boho or earthy stuff, ArtFire has Etsy beat.

you could go to a local Michaels, and some hobby lobby stores, and they have free, or very cheap craft classes.:sunny:

Unfortunately, ArtFire has changed. They now charge an extra fee for an "assurance" program. There are no longer any free "basic" accounts, just paid "pro" accounts and "buyer" accounts. They're getting rid of the low cost ads they had and it now costs $20 to run a weeklong ad. They say some of the new fees are for advertising, yet we haven't seen the last supposed bunch of advertising. They're overriding the shop return policies if they think they don't fit this new "assurance" thing, which they're puting in without the shop owners' approval.

They've started "muting" those who don't conform to the types of posts in the forums that the "mavens" and the admin think they should. If you voice your opinion and it isn't theirs, you get a "final warning" email. (first & final) Yet, they're keeping a double standard, letting the mavens get off scot free when they attack other posters and drop "f-bombs."

They lost a lot of shops when they got rid of the basic shop option and their loosing a lot more with this new thing. Many see it as a breach of trust when so many were given "locked in" fees and now they're finding sneaky ways to add fees to that. Many, some of whom have been there since the beginning, see it as a "money grab" and some have even called it a "scam."

I signed up for that "locked in" rate and I won't pay a dime more. I also won't stick with someone who twists their own rules to suit the favored few. Gestapo tactics dont fly with me either. So, I'm leaving.

I started a shop on Zibbet in August, when they got rid of the basic shops and many of us wondered if it would turn into this kind of mess.

So, you can find me on Zibbet now http://www.zibbet.com/TieDyeBySara

See ya there! I just listed some more stuff today. ;)

Most definitely etsy! just search, on etsy, for hippie or boho and whatever you're looking for (for example, hippie apron top, boho hair scarf...whatever). I have a shop on etsy and have met soooo many awesome sellers and customers on the site. Also, it's a terrific source for supplies...hemp, wools, art yarn, etc.

If ya wanta check out my shop, it's a good example of hippie gypsy boho....
