I want to study medicine but have never studied chemistry which is a problem as I need to take my Leaving Cert chemistry paper to get a decent chance of getting in as a mature student! :(

    So would anyone be interested?

I've done a bit of chemistry but I don't think it would be enough to teach a class but i would be happy to give any advice or answer any questions if i can.

i'd certainly be interested in a course but wouldn't be the person to teach it as i know very little about it indeed...

i'd take the course as a diligent student . . . It's been almost 25 years since i was in a formal chemistry class and could definately use a refresher.

That's the correct suggestion. If you have any questions, I received an A in A Level Chemistry (the equivalent of the final set of exams you do in high school, I think).

I was around 18 then, anyways. I think you might need to know a tad more about Biology though, surely?

Do you still need to learn basic chemistry?
If so, what? I can probably help :)

Should one take a lab when taking chemistry 101? I know it helped me tremendously taking geology lab while taking the class.

If by 'taking a lab' you mean whether you should do experimentation in the laboratory while studying the theory, I would say yes, you should, but only if you have professional support. Don't go experimenting if you don't know what you are doing, especially when you THINK you know what you are doing!
