List three fun things you did today! (Borrowed from the UK forum. :D) And if your day wasn't much fun, then how about 3 cool things you did today? Okay, let's rock and roll!

    1. Went for a long walk in the park.
    2. Finally made it to Safeway (I was down to my last bottle of Diet Pepsi)
    3. Had a nice long phone chat with a friend.

BTW, I am not an early bird: My day often starts when most folks are coming home from work, school, etc. So if your life is anything like my own -- you can list three things you did last night. :)

1: Took the tractor and chain saw to the back woods and drug up a huge old Oak that was killed by a lightening strike.

2: Cut, split and stacked firewood with my youngest (16) and second to oldest (46)sons.

3: Helped my youngest and his buddy do a research paper for their English class.

Between all this we were chasing and playing with the dopey dogs and cat and loving the fine November weather... 60 and sunny.

This is Sunday, not too eventful since I saw the two movies planned for this weekend.

    1. As usual, the first thing I did was my laundry at 7 a.m. before the other tenants are up.

    2. Then an expedition to K-Mart (I bike the 8 miles with a huge shoulder bag to carry my stuff home) Found some $5 DVD in the bin - classics that I didn't have 9 to 5, Driving Miss Daisy and Mrs. Doubtfire.

    3. Watched a DVD since nothing on Sunday nite TV.

Damn, that happened to me once. But the dude was totally drunk, so I was able to talk my way out of it: He was mad because I couldn't give him any spare change. I never carry cash (or change).

yarapario, you certainly live a very full life: That's a lot of hard work and activity for a single day! I'm suddenly feeling very lazy. :)

I'm the same way: I like to do my laundry as early as possible (usually around 5 a.m.) so I can have the laundry room all to myself. Plus I always bring along a good book. :cheers2:

As usual, I've got my days and nights reversed. So it's about time for me to hit the hay. But all in all, it was a productive night for me:

    1. Paid all my bills.
    2. Sent three poems to a really cool online poetry journal (keeping my fingers crossed).
    3. Finally trimmed my beard (was starting to look like Walt Whitman). :D

P.S. Am I the only insomniac around this place? :leaving:

    SubText:
I did a whole other set of three things during the same day

    1. Printed out my Boarding Pass for my 4-day cruise on Thursday.
    2. Checked out what I'll be taking on the cruise. (one small bag and a backpack)
    3. Bought a new Bikini to wear by the pool.
(Hey, old guys can wear Bikini's)

Altho I only have to wear one on cruises. Normally I go to the nude beach here.

At Last! Someone from London! I "borrowed" this thread idea from the UK forum. :cheers2:

Or maybe you're an American in London? Anything is possible on the internet. :)

Your day was much more remarkable than my own. I've never chatted with anybody on webcam. And I desperately need a new pair of boots: The rainy season has begun in the great Pacific Northwest.

Plus I really could use a hot bowl of chicken noodle soup: I'm almost certain I'm coming down with a bad cold.

Anyway, thanks for swinging by and sharing your day. :cheers2:

Dang, a 4-day cruise! I'm so jealous. ;) So I guess you'll be eating turkey and stuffing by the pool? Certainly puts my TV dinner to shame. I can't cook worth a damn, so I microwave everything -- even on Thanksgiving. :D

    --QP

    P.S. Nice pic. I'd say you're a very young sixtysomething. ;)

    1. Cashed in a month's worth of empty Diet Pepsi bottles (not allowed to chuck them down the garbage chute).

    2. Picked up some books I had on hold at the library.

    3. Found a dollar in one of the books (never use money as a bookmark!) :cheers2:

Took a long drive running errands all over Southern Illinois but had fun cause I was driving my "new" to me Z 28.

Stopped by my office to see about our newly referrred clients for therapy group but did NOTHNG resembling serious work...I'm off till the 30th.

Finally I took a long leisurely shower in the outdoor shower where a dumb little Lab puppy joined in and the cat took one peek and fled. Sweetest November I can ever recall...I'm makng some Altars and offerings to say Thanks for the warmth and blooming plants so late in the season.

Outdoor showers can be so awesome, especially when it's still warm outside. Alas, my most recent outdoor shower was while walking back from Safeway. No soap was required. But an umbrella would have been nice -- the rain was cold, and my groceries got soaked. I ended up having a rather soggy roast beef sandwich for supper. :D

    LAST NIGHT

    1. Went to the drug store to find something for my cold. I was sick to death of sneezing every 30 seconds. Bought a box of Theraflu. It actually helped with the symptoms.

    2. Finally watched GONE WITH THE WIND. I'd never seen this classic film before. It was the restored version (improved color and sound). I liked it a lot more than I thought I would. I'd been avoiding it for years, because it's so damn long. But I enjoyed every minute of it (and it has a lot of minutes).

    3. Finished reading THE DIARY OF ANNE FRANK (the definitive edition). Did you know there are still a few folks claiming the famous diary is a forgery? The book pretty much puts Anne Frank's harshest critics to shame: There's plenty of proof that she existed, went into hiding with her family during the holocaust, kept a diary, and died in a concentration camp. Only her father -- and the diary -- survived.

    2. Ate too much turkey and stuffing. :D

    3. Watched a favorite DVD (84 CHARING CROSS ROAD)

Well, the three things I did today weren't that interesting.

    1. Woke up on a Ship in the Port of Miami at 5:30 a.m.
    2. Walked the decks for the last time at 6 a.m. while having coffee
    3. Left the ship and walked to the bus stop to go home :(

HOWEVER, What I did on Saturday was much more noteworthy:

    1. Went Horseback Riding on Cozumel
    [IMG]

    2. Went Parasailing at Cozumel
    [IMG]

    3. Soaked in the Hot Tub on the Ship ('Cause I was worn out)

Welcome back, Shale! Those pics are amazing. I especially like the one of you on the horse. So I gather your trip was an awesome one? I'd have to stay in bed for a week, if I did all that you did on Saturday. But it looks like a lot of fun. And that's what matters most in life. :cheers2:

    Last Night

    1. Thought I was having a bad dream about being one of the doomed passengers on the Titanic: Water was spilling down from my bedroom and bathroom ceilings. Turns out my daft upstairs neighbor had fallen asleep with the water running in her clogged bathroom sink.

    2. Spent most of the night mopping floors, and placing buckets all about to catch the dripping water.

    3. Started reading a great bio: THE UNSINKABLE MOLLY BROWN.
