I've been trying to look for a hippie girlfriend lately, someone who doesn't care about material bullshit, someone I can just enjoy being around and someone who has a genuine smile, The question is am I likely to find that somewhere here? If not where? I would appreciate any advice. Thanks, Jess.

the hippies died off after vietnam, dude.

the best you can hope for these days is a chick that shops at hot topic and boycotts mcdonalds.

Those are very rare. Here at least. I only see girls with 1 kilo make up, and they usually dress the same.
Most of them are boring as hell and will leave you the first week.
The girls who are available are usually at parties, where you will only find those tricky kind of bitches i was talking about.
The ones you need are probably at home and can only be seen in school, shops or on the streets.
I prefer living the rest of my life without sex to having a girlfriend who will just break my heart.

No. I don't hate any of them. It's just that i don't like some.
It's funny tho, that i took the time to write in your thread and you just ask me if i hate women.
I said my opinion about the majority of today's girls.

Look in arts and craft shops/ head shops/ some off the more off beat locations and classes (maybe meditation) - maybe groups that are active with the environment or charity work> and how about looking for older hippies - if they are for real, they must have raised thier kids with the right ideals-

Man when I was your age ,all we had to do was go to a peace rally or a Dead show

For the most part the posters ahead of me are right- vegetarians boycotting McDonalds and throwing on a stylish ty-die might be it- - The world has made it so uphip-to be hip

No one is perfect. You may never find this dream girl you talk about. Don't give up the search for a good girl though, they're out there!

You know, previous posters have said that most girls in todays society wears a shit-ton of makeup and shop at Hot Topic, and I'm finding that to be very true. It scares me to think that women are so conditioned to believe that natural beauty is ugly (no makeup, unshaved areas) when we are innately this way. I don't understand their logic that fake>natural.
But I digress, lol.

Ah, keep on looking, friend, and you shall find her. She exists, somewhere in this world she's there- but you must first realize that you have to put petty things such as distance aside. Don't allow anyone to influence who *you* truly are, if she does that, she's not for you. Trust me- I've had girls try to change me, and they all turned out to be fakes- so I stopped trying to appeal to other people. I met my love on the internet, it took me over two years of searching, but when I finally gave up on love and started to research other things in life, I found my sweetheart. Trust me, there's someone out there for everyone. I personally I have spent hours on end speaking to my girl on IM- it feels like no time has passed. There's one sign of love. The other is if you and her think the same things, do the same things, and have the same opinions. Trust me, someone's out there.
