I saw the very first screening of the very first episode of Doctor Who as a very young child and have never forgotten it. Growing up in the 60s & 70s my friends and I witnessed every regeneration for the first time, followed by constant repeats which were standard after-school fodder for many years. Surprisingly, with each regeneration The Doctor was different!!
I am new to this site, but I am bumping this dead thread up! I am heart broken to see that there are no conversations being had over this amazing show.

Living in Canada Dr. Who was not always readily accessible, late night Saturday night on CBC I believe. Never got into it. I started really watching with the reincarnation of the series in 2005 watched it quite faithfully through the Eccleston, Tennant and Smith periods. Lost interest during Capaldi but have since watch them all. I really like Whittaker and she has brought me back to the franchise. My favourite Dr. would probably be Smith but I have liked all the latter Drs. Not crazy about Capaldi. Favourite companion hands down The Girl Who Waited: Amy Pond
