I prefer: Why didn't the skeleton go to the dance? Ha didn't have any body to go with. :smilielol5: (I WAS ten when I first heard that)
Yeah, that was the joke she read in some book, then came up with the no guts one. That remark hurts my feelings I do care if I hurt peoples feelings, and it really never is my intention, but some people make such asinine remarks that they just beg for sarcastic responses. Maybe you should look past the delivery of the message to the content of it instead. Too many people in this world are more concerned with being "politically correct" or "sensitive to others feelings" to the point that straight up honesty is viewed as being "mean". Hell with it, I prefer honesty over bullshit designed to spare feelings.
Ok, I feel the same way sometimes when I read peoples posts (I'm sure I'm guilty of the same too, sometimes...I wonder why I have not been on the end of your sharp tongue more often). I feel like giving people sarcastic responses. But I generally opt to be diplomatic, but try and convey the same meaning. I have no problem with you giving somebody the benefit of your more astute mind, far from it, it's a blessed relief...and it makes me laugh most of the time. However, sometimes I just let things pass and let people just say what they like with out comment. It just feels like a hobby of yours, though. I get the feeling you don't think: "Do you know what, I'll let that pass, life is too short". If it's done with the best of intentions, and you do care, fair enough. Suck it up. Build a bridge. Pussy. Etc.
Uhhmmm, ???? Ahhhh, I think I'll just let this one pass, life is too short. Seriously though, my hobbies entail a lot more, like: 1 large can of lard 1 ostrich feather 2 medium grade A eggs 1 plug in vibrator 1 trained monkey 3 light bulbs 1 candle 1 HazMat suit 3 pairs of rubber gloves 1 red rubber clown nose 1 furry kitten and 1-2 female humans (if available) Now thats how to have an enjoyable hobby OH!, I almost forgot 2 pairs of fuzzy handcuffs (if the females are available that is)
I laugh mostly at my own posts and I'm surprised no one mentioned I'minmyunderwear CrummyRummy had me laughing tears many many times back when I first joined and he would post up a page or two of game threads in marathon time...especially the funny insults
i like orison because he's silly as hell. i love silly people. i think its hard to really get humor on a forum though. Most funny peope are funny because of their inflection and the way they deliver what they say, and you can't really get that just by talking to someone online. Sometimes when people try to make jokes on here it just falls flat
death has cracked me up on many occasions but orisons post of the scoob doo gang in a thread still cracks me up today......and I voted for orison320[get it?cause now he is married]
lillally's a funny woman - some of her quips crack me right up. But how to rate the overall humor experience? Kind of an individual thing, I think... Rollingalong's humor stands out in my mind, but I think part of the reason is that he aims some jokes at me personally - as well he should. And btw, seems like thedope should get mentioned - though I don't see him around much lately where I hang out. And Imaginary Being is pretty damn funny too sometimes, come to think of it...
