Where was god before writing? Point is electronic media creates access like never before seen. No doubt according to your reasoning there is reason to believe but it is a weak case. What bible did abraham have? What bible did noah have?
http://rationalwiki.org/wiki/Failed_biblical_prophecies look at that article for specifics, i dont think were supposed to have this kind of conversation in the "sanctuary" section, my bad. i made another thread here: http://www.hipforums.com/forum/topic/466575-scientific-knowledge-in-sacred-text/
I believe all books include the words spoken by the characters within. Some of them are written by those characters. Many of them are among the most widely read books in the world. Lots of them are followed religiously as if they were The Truth. The Bible (in all its parts) is among those books.
Actually true Christians view those who, in your vernacular, wrote the Bible were more like typewriters that the master used to convey his message. Actually no, there much evidence that that is exactly what happened. Again it goes a little farther than that, it has showed over and over again that those who have accused the Bible of “making it up” and that no such people or civilization ever existed, were themselves mistaken. You are correct if you are looking at mankind’s “prophecies” like Nostradamus but if you are looking at God’s prophecies you will find them quite specific.
As it states in Romans 1:20 God's invisible qualities have been seen in his creation. Also, in Romans 2:14 talks about people who don't know about the law who naturally do what the law says prove they have it already written on their hearts. So I think God can reach anyone in different ways not just by the Word. Truth is truth.
Creating him without the appropriate information? Written information as well as personal views. Access has improved over time. So no written word of god. How did they relate to god?
That's part of your problems trying to infer things from what is plainly stated and need no inferring.
How could it be part of my problem when I said I had no need to infer something that is not written? Your problem is reading comprehension. It is because you interpret according to an immutable standard that doesn't account for the actual meaning of words.
The jewish old testament was not canonized until 100 AD. the christian bible was not canonized until 325. A more powerful idea for gods ability to make his word known is the ability to do it in any form.
