Too early to really tell. I'm mixed, I agree with him on more social policy, less on economic policy, and yes to being less of a dick to the rest of the world.
a solid one. socialist, liberal... makesme sick he is power hungry and os ruining businesses and the economy
Obama is the dog that caught the car. He's chased the power, chased the office, and now he doesn't know what to do with it. I'm very anti-government control, just as our founding fathers were. I despise big government.
I agree, isn't there a probation period or something. Bush got eight years, let the black jesus get at least 8 months.
I agree with you NP, obama actually became elected at a really tough time, what with the recession and financial crisis n blah blah you know the rest, i think he needs a little more time as president before he can be judged on his performance as a president
I kinda like the things he's doing. Most of the complaints I hear about him are from his hardcore fans who loved him before he was elected.
If he doesn't stop spending money the way he is the country is going to be just where California is now. How are all of the bondholder's going to like it when we start giving them IOU's instead of making payment. Federal employees aren't going to like it when they stop getting paid. I do think it would be kind of funny to issue IOU's for foreign aid though.
I can't rate him. I am glad he's so far less inclined to war, more open to diplomacy, wanting to shut down Guantanamo, wanting to bring troops from Iraq, working with different parties and not just democrats. I'm not happy with the bailout, his secretive moves that he promised to change that bush did (wiretapping, white house visitor list). I voted for Ron Paul initially, and then Obama, but no matter what I don't expect Obama to completely please me or everyone else. Our country will hurt no matter who was president though.
This poll should have been on a 0 to 10 scale. I had to give him a 1, but that's somewhat misleading as it only leaves room for improvement, and I am certain that things will worsen greatly under Obama.
You didn't have to vote. You could have just said: "I'm giving the loser nothing - so there". You could have even gone onto to do this:
True, only a few months, only a little while he has been in office. So we can't really be sure how his efforts are going to affect the country. However, I fear that the affect is going to be negative. He is spending money like crazy and I think he is growing our debt to the point that it's going to be out of control, he is making us weaker, more vulnerable to attack, Now the cap and trade thing that is going to further handcuff our economy, and the school voucher program that he is phasing out. I just don't think any of that is a good idea. I did start a thread here a little while ago about the school voucher program. I don't really know that much about it, and that is what the thread is about, so I asked for explanation. Maybe that is good thing, what Obama do, I just don't see how. I hate it when people say this. I hated it when the bailout was called a bipartisan effort. He is so partisan, so completely liberal democrat, I don't know how anyone could say he is bipartisan. People attack Bush mercilessly, then tell us to leave Obama alone and let him work. Don't be a hypocrite.
I love big government. I want the government to be large, powerful, and expensive. I hate businessmen. I want the government to be in their face kicking them around, and slapping them in the face. The only thing those scoundrels are good for is paying taxes. They should be made to pay and pay. If they complain, they should be made to pay some more. It they try to evade paying taxes they should be thrown in prison and lose everything they own.
You've got it. You have that also, but I assume you want someone else to pay your share funding it? Lets move them all overseas, all they do is create work for us. I suppose you want them bound so they can't defend them selves also. Of course, I forgot they pay no taxes. And I presume those taxes should be used to provide your needs and desires? Wouldn't it be nice if all the people with money would just leave the U.S.? Why not just make it a felony to be worth more than a fixed amount, punishable by imprisonment or maybe even death? Of course you'd be okay with granting pardons to Tim Geithner, Tom Daschle, Kathleen Sebelius, Nancy Killefer, Ron Kirk, Hilda Solis, and Charles Rangel, to just name a few? Here's a hypothetical solution you might find satisfactory. All money earned, both by businesses as well as individuals, should be sent directly to the Federal government. The Federal government can then determine exactly how much money is left over after providing for the expense of running the government and divide that remaining amount by the total population, and apply that (equal) amount to a debit card which each member of the population will be provided, and that debit card would provide the only means of purchasing anything. Currency could then be removed from the society and all wealth produced by the nation, after the governments expenses, would be shared equally between each member of the population, regardless of what they do. In any event things are beginning to degrade to your desires. Isn't it going to be a wonderful future in the United State of America?
ONE ONE ONE ONE! He is powermad and will bring upon us madness..............jus you wait.......................
