if your lookin at a map its above and to the right of barrie.....or..if your in toronto and get on yonge street head north and you will drive right through it....I have a stepdaughter in london....lives downtown....punky....very cool kid..just turned 19...bit of a wild child...edit; that was really weird..i made this post..went downstairs to get laundry...while i was downstairs my kid calls from london to tell me she is movin downtown toronto on the 30th...she rarely calls cause she is so independent...i'm happy
I'm from Ontario, have lived all over Ontario (and basically everywhere else in Canada) and am now settled in Ottawa until September-ish.
hey all, im living in brantford atm can anyone tell me where the hell you swim and camp in this area? im dying to go swimming (hopefully it gets hot again soon) but i really dont know where there is nice clean water. also, id really like to hear about any free or cheap places to camp (anywhere within a few hours of me) and just any nice naturey places.
are you kidding me...there has to be a hundred places within 90 minutes.....Turkey point provincial park...straight south of your town is one of many
elora gorge...straight north...elora ontario...swimming...also the transcanada trail runs the niagara escarpment ...kelso conservation area....rattlesnake point
i dont mean to complain, but does all decent access to nature and outdoor activities cost money here? im used to bc... i never saw a park you had to pay for until i came to ontario. i still dont know of a chill place to swim where it doesnt cost money, i can bring my dog, etc.
Who knows? I'm from north western ontario, moved down here south... I just don't get how one has to pay for something like CAMPING or going to a park. It's utterly disgusting how people have taken plots of land and "taken over". Humans are a weird bunch.
You pay for camping because that land has to be maintained. Park rangers have to be paid. Nothing weird about it. In a city, our taxes pay for the parks, so they are "free"...but the provincial parks are not.
Where I'm from, the people who go camping take care of the land. Where ever I'd gone, it was all well kept and free. Maybe southerners just don't know how to clean up after themselves.
